Known Issue
If you have a very early model NeatDesk scanner (from 2008 and earlier) AND you are using software that communicates directly to peripherals connected via the USB port, your NeatDesk scanner may become unresponsive if connected before NeatWorks is running on OS X 10.6.8 and later. Applications which trigger this behavior include Fujitsus ScanSnap Manager application, and Apples GarageBand application. To work around, disconnect and reconnect your scanner, or choose Scan/Scan Settings from the NeatWorks menu and click the Diagnostics button. If neither of these workarounds succeed, disconnect your scanner, reboot your Mac, then start NeatWorks before reconnecting your scanner.
