Performance Task: Other Forms of Assessment: Learners will choose one of the apps Learners will complete a self presented in the lesson and will assessment. implement it in the classroom. They will be expected to share their experiences with their grade level during their planning period.

Stage 3: Learning Activities

Learning Activities: As a hook, the presenter will show a short YouTube video on iPads. In the video, a group a students show viewers some ways that iPads can be used to improve student learning. Before starting the lesson, the presenter will make sure that the staff has a good understanding of how to download and install apps. The presenter will introduce and demonstrate how to use the PuppetPals HD app. The presenter will connect the use of the app to a grade level specific standard and share some ways it can be used in the classroom.

The presenter will inform the staff that she has created a wiki with a tutorial video and tips for using PuppetPals HD. The presenter will introduce and demonstrate how to use the iTalk app. The presenter will connect the use of the app to a grade level specific standard and share some ways it can be used in the classroom The presenter will inform the staff that she has created a wiki with a tutorial video and tips for using iTalk. The presenter will show the staff how to locate the resource wiki. The wiki contains information and tips for each of the apps presented. The presenter will have the staff locate and download each of the apps presented. The presenter will encourage the staff to explore the apps and try them out.
