In the United States 67% of same sex marriage couples hold a college degree, which is more than newlyweds

of different sexes. The myth of the same sex couples holds a stigma over their heads, many religions see same sex marriages as a sin. When in reality same sex marriage is the same as any marriage its two people making a commitment to each other. When a man and a women get married they make a contract, which helps them make financial and social opinions together. The same goes for same sex marriage they get married and have to make the same decisions as a man and a women. Where to live? How to support each other? How to split the bills? Conservatives have an almost hostility against gay marriage. Ted Olson during his debate trying to defend gay marriage explains that conservatives have a hipocritical way of looking at things. "They promote the value of marriage yet by denying them the right of getting married they promote a liberal sex lifestyle." Marriage is the building block of the nation. A stable bond between two individuals who work to create a loving household and a social and economic partnership. Legalizing same sex marriages recognize the basic American principles and a commitment to equal rights. Many people believe that by letting same sex couples marry they are confusing children about the definiton of a man and a women. What they don't get taught is that over 3 million kids in the United States are abused and about 15% of those children get put in fostercare. There are approximately 20,000 children in fostercare who do not get adopted. Over 60% of those children in fostercare are over 8 do not get adopted. If same sex marriages where to be legalized same sex couples would be allowed to adopt and provide for those children who were recently abused and living in in fostercare. When San Francisco legalized gay marriage 4,034 marriage licenses were issued. 3,995 gay couples where married. 74% of those couples where older than 35 years and hold college degrees.The rate of divorce between heterosexual couples is 41% during the first marriage, and goes up by almost 20% when trying for a second marriage increasing to 71% divorce rate when applying for a third marriage. Same sex couples have a smaller divorce rate which is only 2.2% per 1,000 people. The general population has the same cliche steryotype that same sex couples spread STDS, HIV and Aids more than heterosexual couples. In recent studies made in 2008 the percent of STDs in heterosexual couples is 14.7 % and in same sex couples is 10.3%. The rate of HIV in heterosexual couples is 32,538 and Aids is 59,593. Same sex couples had a smaller rate HIV was 17,171 and Aids was 24,132. Same sex marriages create some sort of discomfort in heterosexual pleople and when asked why, people give you the same reasons over and over again. They spread disease, its a sin, its unnatural. People who give you this reasons are not totally educated in the topic of same sex marriage. Why is it so unnatural they are born the same way we are, they have feelings, they eat, they shop, and die. Its just a preconsive notion that gays and lesbians are different from heterosexual people. According to the law all people of all religions, races, nationalities, and mental conditons are allowed to marry, yet not same sex. Under the law both genders are equal yet they are not equal to marry. All citizens are entitled to the equal rights and protection from the governtment. Being gay does not alter their rights, and it does not damage nobody elses rights. Marriages are about love, respect and being able to provide for your partner a loving home and financial stabiltiy. Same sex marriages are no different from heterosexual marriages and would create a more stable nation by allowing people to express their right to live their lives the way they prefer to without the interference of anyone else let alone the law.
