Tribal Government Liaison, Skokomish Indian Tribe, WA 2005-2007

• Negotiated a watershed plan that led to consensus with six government agencies and several
non-governmental groups and citizen representatives, leading to other collaborative efforts,
namely a Tri-Party agreement between Tribe, County, and PUD.
• Negotiated an agreement to allow for funding of one of the largest estuary restoration projects
in Puget Sound.
• Developed a three year action plan for U.S. Congress on behalf of the Skokomish River
watershed.
• Participated in several collaborative watershed efforts in development of plans, strategies,
presentations, and actions.
• Wrote and was awarded over $2 million in grants to watershed restoration projects.

• Responsible for protection and enhancement of water resources on public land.
• Facilitated communication between upper management and front line staff in problem-solving
and decision-making.
