Dear Parent(s)/Carer(s), For young people, the process of making education, training and employment decisions for the future is becoming increasingly complex. Not only is there an increasing range of possible choices, but rapidly changing economic circumstances are having a significant impact too. We believe that up-to-date and high quality information is the key to effective decision-making. In order to give young people at the school an opportunity to get first-hand information from employers, universities, colleges and training providers, we are supporting the Ambitions+ careers event that is being jointly organised by the Concorde and Kingswood Partnerships (15 schools in South Gloucestershire). Ambitions+ is an excellent opportunity to talk directly to employers, and representatives of universities, colleges, training providers and voluntary sector organisations. It will be an invaluable opportunity for young people and parents to access information, advice and guidance that could prove crucial to making effective decisions about future courses and career directions. More than 100 different organisations are supporting the Ambitions+ event (see comprehensive list over) we do hope you will be able to come and take advantage of this fantastic and unique opportunity. A flyer has been given to students during tutor time which gives details of where the event is being held. All students attending from invited schools will be entered in a competition to win an iPod!
