Gay marriage should be legalized. Homosexuality is not a decision people make in their lives, and should be treated just as equally as Heterosexuality to an extent. Modern scientists believe that homosexuality is developed by an insignificant amount of male testosterone transferred to the baby while inside the womb. Sexual Orientation is not a choice (Obama). But dont worry, its natural. Homosexuality is simply a normal variation in human condition that just happens to be rare, just like being left-handed. Plus, did you know homosexuality is found in more than 500 species including lions, dogs, cats. Etc? (Dr. Medinger). And its also nearly impossible to change your orientation. Although there are many Conversion Therapies out-there not a single on can claim to change their patient sexual desires, just his or her sexual conduct (Spiegel ).
Marriage is a ceremony that bonds two people into an official couple and should not be restricted to those of the same gender. Humans are social animals can cannot live as long is full isolation. And although gays can always go out and obtain a lover, it isnt the same as a fully committed marriage due to the factors or Financial Security, Social and Legal Recognition and most importantly emotional support (Walsh). Studies show what when people are left alone they will often feel insecure. The best way to overcome this is to establish an individual bond to a partner and spend lives til death to them apart (Walsh). Also, a marriage is backed by society and the law. It isnt stated but married men and woman have a certain social status and usually receive more respect.

Most people would argue that homosexuals should not marry due to the fact that it isnt a traditional marriage and adulterates America. The only marriage that people should care about is their own marriage, and the opinion of weather it makes America seem raunchy shouldnt be a concern merely because American is pretty much at the top of its game when it comes to civil rights (Kuhner). The WestBoro Baptist church is an organization devoted to stopping anything gay related. They believe that homosexuals are the reason everything bad that has happened in American, including dead soldiers and 9/11. Common knowledge suggests that there is no connection between the tragedies America faces and homosexuality. A Pastor in Uganda once preached that homosexual marriage shouldnt be legalized due to bizarre and unsanitary sexual acts that homosexual do in the privacy in their own home the infamous eat da poo poo video. While there are some people in the world that have extremely bizarre fetishes, there is no evidence of a correlation between these desires and homosexuality (Medinger).
