Continue to contact the Schools on your list to establish relationships, determine available spots and deadlines Schedule a Greenheart Travel Presentation in your school(s), contd Read Handbook Section 5: Host Family Recruitment Create a list of your immediate contacts to think about who could host Explore advertising opportunities where schools will accept students (Non-profit PSAs on the radio, free ads in the paper, etc.) Plan a calendar for speaking in front of groups (speak at churches and temples, schedule a library student exchange information session) Practice talking to your close friends about hosting

Week 4

Allocate time to review Student Bios on the database. Add a few students to your My Participants tab and target host families who might share their interests (e.g., if you select a musician, reach out to music institutes, concert venues and musical instrument stores) Build a system to track your contacts, for instance in Excel Tie up any loose ends with the schools you have contacted. Have you done a Greenheart Travel Presentation in the school? Check in with your RD or AC to provide an update of your progress and ask any questions you may have
