Competency

Evidence (S) LG and SM Appliance Centers business relationships got estranged due to allegations made between two parties which resulted in the decline of sales for LG. (T) I was hired, considering I am totally new in the Electronics industry, primarily to repair business relations and to grow the business. (A) I investigated the problem and prepared my action plan before setting up a meeting with SM. During the meeting, they started to express their violent reactions on how they were mistreated by LG management. I sat there listening intently taking down notes and evaluating what were their valid and not so valid concerns. I asked for another chance and would work out our differences by presenting to them my marketing campaigns like: How to increase market share/brand image; The trainings I will be conducting to increase sales; To resolve previous issues; To do product mix and profitability analysis among others. (R) Achievement of more than 300% of Sales target; Increase in Market Share from bottom 10 to top 3. SM started to regain confidence in our company. I suggested to both parties that instead of consignment Analytical Thinking is about bringing disciplined analysis basis, display items will be sold at 40% discount. However, after positive results, I was asked to handle two more major accounts of the company. (T) To show same dedication and passion towards two new accounts to be handled without compromising my present account. (A) I re-arranged my time table accordingly. I scheduled meetings with my account on Mondays and tried to complete all necessary tasks/correspondences required by my account within the day while Tuesdays were for other accounts; I conducted trainings on Wednesdays; Did store visits the rest of the week unless a meeting was being called in by the office.
