RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Position: Site: Dates: Supervisors: Experience: Lab Manager, Dr. Scott Leon Loyola University Chicago/Chicago, IL May 2011 present Scott Leon Ph.D. & Ashley Rolnik, M.A. Assisting with the weekly planning for lab meetings, project management and coordination, and supervision of four undergraduate students. Projects involve examining the effects of the medias glamorization of eating disorders on college women and investigating the relationship between sorority membership and eating and body pathologies. Responsibilities: Assisted in designing the study, created materials, wrote recruiting materials, recruited over 500 participants, programmed surveys on computer-based measures, trained lab members to efficiently use programming software; and ran statistical analyses.

Connie Kalble 2 Position: Site: Dates: Supervisors: Experience: Independent Research, Senior Honors Thesis Loyola University Chicago/Chicago, IL December 2011 present Marilyn Krogh, Ph.D. & Ashley Rolnik, M.A. Proposing and conducting an original research study entitled: A Comparative Review of Disordered Eating in the United States and the United Kingdom. Project involves examining the main contributors researchers have named as primary risk and resilience factors for disordered eating and body dissatisfaction among young women in the United States and the United Kingdom. Responsibilities: Designed study; collected materials; ran statistical analyses; and composed manuscript. Position: Site: Dates: Supervisor: Experience: Research Assistant, Dr. Scott Leon Loyola University Chicago/Chicago, IL May 2010 May 2011 Scott Leon, Ph.D. Assisted in a study that examined the effects of a thin body ideal in the media on body and eating pathology in college women, as well as examining different risk and resilience factors associated disordered eating behaviors. Responsibilities: Assisted in the management of a database containing over 180 college women; recruited participants for a multiple data collection time points; participated in weekly lab meetings to further the project; programmed surveys on computer-based measures; and participated in the development of a poster presentation of the research at a several regional conferences. A second focus of my work with Dr. Leon was the evaluation of outcomes of adolescents in nationwide in-patient care facilities in the child welfare system. Responsibilities: Assisted in the development and management of a database containing over 500 youth at several hospitals and participated in lab meetings to further the project.
