Salt Springs winding, often shoulderless, and relatively traffic-free roads make for great cycling. Still, unfamiliar terrain and non-conforming rural roads introduce new risks for visiting cyclists and motorists b oth. A single piece of advice? Please share the road. Motorists can drive a bit slower; Cyclists can ride single file. When we all respect the rules of the road everyone b enefits!

am,
the
first
bicycle-only
ferry
in
BC
coastal
history
will
set
sail
from
S wartz
Bay
(near
Victoria).
For
the
n ext
35
minutes,
400
cyclists
will
have
a
chance
to
party
down
to
the
music
of
Salt
Springs
very
own
Fabulous
Flakes,
rub
shoulders
with
special
guests
and
loosen
up
for
a
cycle-rrific
15km
FUN
RIDE
from
Fulford
Village
to
our
event
hub
in
Ganges.
The
FUN
RIDE
route
will
be
decorated
and
dedicated
for
use
by
cyclists.

have
encouragement
stations,
traffic
control
folks,
Cycle
buddies
and
crazy
hand
painted
bikes
to
help
flatten
out
the
hills
and
optimize
your
pedal
power.
