Various Prayers

A prayer of Self Dedication Almighty and eternal God, So draw our hearts to you, so guide our minds, so fill our imaginations, so control our wills, that we may be wholly yours, utterly dedicated unto you; and then use us as u will, to your glory and the welfare of your people; through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

For ourselves and other people I hand over to your care, Lord, My soul and body, My mind and my thoughts, My prayers and my hopes, my health and my work, My life and my death, My parents and my family, my friends and my neighbours, my country and all men, Today and always, Amen. Comfort in times of trouble Lord, help me remember to give thanks to you in all things, Knowing that you reign in the midst of them. I know when I pass through the waters you will be with me And that the river will not overflow me. When I walk through the fire, I will not be burned, not will the flame touch me.(Isaiah 43:1-2)

I pray that you, O God of hope, will fill me with all joy and peace and faith, So that I will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you that you have sent your Holy Spirit to be my comforter and helper. Please remind me that you are there, in he midst of all difficult situations. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. In time of temptation Lord, help me to hide your Word in my heart, so I will see clearly and not sin against you in any way. (Psalm 119:11) Thank you, Lord that you are near to all who call upon you, And you will fulfil the desire of those who fear you, Thank you that you may hear my cries, And will save me from any weakness that could lead me away from you, And all you have for me. Thank you that you know how to deliver the godly out of temptations. Thank you that you will deliver me out of all temptations. And keep them far away from me. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Scriptures in times of need.

"And Jesus said unto them ... , "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to younder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you." Romans 1:17 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear what they fear ; do not be frightened." Take Courage 1 Peter 3:14 "LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken." Psalm 16:5-8 "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one. Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever." Psalm 28:7-9 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
