CHAPTER 1. DEEP THINKING

I. INTRODUCTION
Most people believe that in order to think deeply, one needs to put one's head between one's hands, withdraw to an empty room, and isolate oneself from all other people and affairs. Indeed, they make such a big issue of thinking deeply that they find it too difficult, and imagine that it is a quality exclusive to philosophers. However, Allah invites people to reflect and says that He has revealed the Qur'an for people to reflect on it:

"It is a book We have sent down to you, full of blessing, so let people of intelligence ponder its signs and take heed." (Surah Sad: 29). What is important is one's sincerely improving one's ability to think and going deeper in thinking. So the supreme source of knowledge while thinking on any topic is the Quran. On the other hand, people who do not spend effort to that end continue their lives in deep heedlessness. The word heedlessness has connotations like neglectfulness without forgetting, abandoning, being mistaken, disregarding, being careless. The heedless state of those who do not reflect is a consequence of forgetting or deliberately disregarding the purpose of their creation and of the realities which religion teaches. Yet, this is an extremely dangerous course that may lead to Hell. Correspondingly, Allah has warned people against being among the heedless:

Remember your Lord in yourself humbly and fearfully, without loudness of voice, morning and evening. Do not be of the heedless ones. (Surat al-A'raf: 205)

II.

WHAT IS DEEP THINKING?

One of the most important characteristics of those who believe in Allah is their ability to see the signs created by Allah. A believer sees the power and artistry of Allah in every subtlety around him, he glorifies His praise and takes this as a way to draw nearer to him. Believers having this characteristic are thus defined in the Quran:

Those who remember Allah, standing, sitting and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth: Our Lord, You have not created this for nothing. Glory be to You! So created this for nothing. Glory be to You! So safeguard us from the punishment of the Fire. (Surat Al Imran: 191) The truth can be told to a person in many different ways; it can be shown by the use of details, pieces of evidence and by every means. Yet, if this person does not think over this truth on his own, sincerely and honestly with the purpose of comprehending the truth, all these efforts are useless. For this reason, when the messengers of God communicated the message to their people, they told them the truth clearly and then summoned them to think.

III.

WHY SHOULD WE THINK?

Did you suppose that We created you for amusement and that you would not return to Us? (Surat al-Muminun: 115) Therefore, each person needs to ponder the purpose of creation, first as it concerns him himself, and then as it pertains to everything he sees in the universe and every event he experiences throughout his life. Someone who does not think, will understand the facts only after he dies, when he gives account before God, but then it will be too late. God says in the Qur'an that on the day of account, everybody will think and see the truth:

We did not create the heavens and the earth and everything between

them as a game. We did not create them except with truth but most of them dont know it (Surah Ad-Dukhan: 38-39) We have to answer the most fundamental question that every human being asks himself at some point in his or her lifetime. Not just Muslims, but every single human being. Someone who does not think will remain totally distant from truths and lead his life in self-deception and error. As a result, he will not grasp the purpose of the creation of the world, and the reason for his existence on the earth. Yet, God has created everything with a purpose.

All praise is due to Allah and may His peace and blessings be upon his last Messenger SallAllahu 'Alayhi wa Sallam and on all those who follow the path of righteousness until the last day.

AN E XAMPLE BY QURAN:

Verily, the likeness of this worldly life is as the rain (water) which we send down from the sky. Thus do we explain the Ayat in detail for a people who reflect (or who think or ponder) (10:24) In this verse Tafakkur is used in the sense that this world is temporal and mortal. No one knows except Allah what will happen at what time? So use your Aql (intellect) that you may understand what Reality is. Abdullah Yusuf Ali in the explanation of this verse writes: a beautiful parable, explaining the nature of our present life. The rain comes down in drops and mingles with the earth. Through it, by Gods matchless artistry the womb of the earth is made fruitful. The earth is covered with bravery of green and gold and all kinds of colors, but a hailstorm or a blast, a frost or a volcanic eruption comes and destroys it and the bravery and beauty of yesterday is destroyed. All that is left in earth is ashes and dust. What more can we get from this physical material life?

CHAPTER 2. CONCENTRATION
In Linguistics; The act or process of concentrating is called Concentration.

I. )

MUSAS PRAYER FOR CONCENTRATION: () () () )

(24) (Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind (25) And ease my task for me; (26) And loose a knot from my tongue, (27) That they may understand my saying. II. CONCENTRATION IN IBADAATS: A. NAMAZ --------HADEES--------Narrated AbuRafi': Sa'id ibn AbuSa'id al-Maqburi reported on the authority of his father that he saw AbuRafi' the freed slave of the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him), passing by Hasan ibn Ali (Allah be pleased with them) when he was standing offering his prayer. He had tied the back knot of his hair. AbuRafi' untied it. Hasan turned to him with anger, AbuRafi' said to him: concentrate on your prayer and do not be angry: I heard the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) say: This is the seat of the devil, referring to the back knot of the hair. (Book #2, Hadith #0646) In order to gain proper concentration in Prayer, it is important to keep ones mind free of all pre-occupations with worldly affairs. Since our minds tend to dwell on the things which we are currently absorbed with, it is important to break the hold of this world upon our minds by conditioning ourselves to think consistently of Allah and the Last Day. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, A true believer is one who has made all of his thoughts subservient to the bigger thought: Allah. Another important point to remember is that often because of our indulgence in major sins, we may be deprived of true joy in Prayer as a penalty for these sins.
7

Such sins include displeasing ones parents, fornication or adultery, indiscriminate mingling and mixing with members of the opposite sex, unethical conduct and behavior in financial dealings, and so on. Therefore, as a prerequisite step towards improving our concentration in Prayer, we must examine our life and purge it of all the major sins according to the best of our ability. After having done so, we can follow these tips which have been gleaned from the discussions of the salaf as-salih. II. CONCENTRATION IN PROFESSIONAL LIFE:

Professional development is applicable to every individual, regardless of what you do for a living, or other socio-economic factors. Thinking positively and setting realistic goals keep you motivated to continually better yourself, and the world around you. III. POSITIVE CONCIOUSNESS

Positive thinking and professional development go hand-in-hand. If you think you can be better, then you can be. If you don't like your job or are ready for a change, and you tell yourself there is no hope, you will be continually unhappy. However, when you start looking at things in a positive light, you will be able to put more energy and effort into everything you do, because you know that you are working towards an end goal.

CHAPTER 4. PLANNED ACTION

I.

PLANNED ACTION:

A Planned Action describes when and why you are doing something....also dependencies...what are things you will need to do before you can accomplish some major step. You prepare an action plan so you stay on schedule, meet your goals and are successful in the end. II. What is a Planed Behaviour?

Outlined, prepared, plotted, intended, expected, devised, formulated action is a Planned action.

A plan should be a realistic view of the expectations. Depending upon the activities, a plan can be long range, intermediate range or short range. It is the framework within which it must operate. For management seeking external support, the plan is the most important document and key to growth. Preparation of a comprehensive plan will not guarantee success, but lack of a sound plan will almost certainly ensure failure. Planning can be summarized in 3 easy steps: 1. choosing a destination, 2. evaluating alternative routes, and 3. deciding the specific course of your plan. Purpose of a plan Just as no two organizations are alike, so also their plans. It is therefore important to prepare a plan keeping in view the necessities of the enterprise. A plan is an important aspect of business. It serves the following three critical functions: Helps management to clarify, focus, and research their business's or project's development and prospects. Provides a considered and logical framework within which a business can develop and pursue business strategies over the next three to five years. Offers a benchmark against which actual performance can be measured and reviewed. III. WHAT ARE PLANNED ACTIONS?

All the teachings of Islam guide us in a directed way to lead a life of Planning. All Obligations whether it is Namaz, Zakat, Roza, Hajj all are planned actions. Leaving all these all of our plannings of the real life concerning our needs, business are our own planned actions. In Professional life, different plans are made by us for our future which are Planned actions.

IV.

WHAT IS ALLAH'S PLAN?

Allah's plan is above and beyond all our plans and it is explained in Quran in these words. 1. Did they then feel secure against the plan of Allah? None feels secure from the plan of Allah except the people who are the losers. ( , Al-Araf, Chapter #7, Verse #99) 2. And I respite them; certainly My plan is strong. ( , Ar-Rad, Chapter #13, Verse #42) 3. (And verily, those before them did devise plots, but all planning is Allah's. He knows what every person earns, and the disbelievers will know who gets the good end (final destination). ( , Al-Araf, Chapter #7, Verse #183)

V.

HOW MANY PLANS WE CAN SET:

We have to fear ALLAH and bow head towards whatever there is ALLAHs decision because our religious teachings does not allow us to indulge too many in wordly affairs. The Planning which is given supreme importance in Islam and people are invited for that planning every where in the Quran is related to the life which is hereafter and not this life which is temporary and meaningless.
