HAZID, HAZOPs and CHAZOPs

HAZIDS, HAZOPs and CHAZOPs are risk management studies that are required at various stages of project design and plant operation. Hazard Identification (HAZID) studies examine causes of hazardous events and identify the controls, processes and resources required to reduce risks to as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP). Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs) and Control HAZOPs (CHAZOPs) have a structured systematic approach to risk exposure focussing on process plant design, control and operations. HAZID studies assume that an incident can occur while activities or operations are being carried out. HAZOPs and CHAZOPs test a theoretical design or operation to ensure that effective controls and resources are in place to prevent an incident taking place. Our Safety and Risk Engineers can provide project support to all onshore Major Hazard Facilities, offshore drilling and production facilities, water, power, gas, mining and refining, construction, aviation and manufacturing industries. With several decades of experience in upstream and downstream oil and gas, petrochemicals, processing plants and mining and refining, RPS consultants provide independent facilitation to any major hazard facility and projects requiring risk assessments. What RPS provide:

Process HAZOP, CHAZOP and HAZID Facilitation for Design, Construction, Commissioning, Modifications and Operations Facilitation through the whole life-cycle of a project, from conceptual design, to development, implementation through to decommissioning at project end Independent assessment performed by experienced consultants
