The article entitles A Qualitative Analysis of ELT in the Language Institutes of Iran in the Light of the Theory of World

d Englishes. This article is written by Reza Pishghadam and Fatimeh Saboori from Ferdowsi University of Mashad Iran. This study attempts to investigate English language teaching about the existence of World Englishes theory paradigm in Irans non formal education in Iran. The purposes of this study are: to find out the teachers and students thought regarding World of Englishes theory. This article is performed based on qualitative analysis by involving 25 participants, i.e. 13 teachers and 15 students. The teacher that was interviewed included 4 M.A graduates, 2 M.A students, and 7 B.A graduates in the field of English Language teaching and English literature. This article is classified into qualitative research that intends to explain a community phenomenon within a greater depth understanding and it is usually elaborates within words. ( Van Krieken, Habibis, , Smith, Hutchins, Haralmobos & Holborn, 2005 ). Therefore it is considered to deeply elaborates the illustration of community and more significant than quantity research. Spratt points out that the researchers philosophy of this type of research is based on interpretive or humanistic view where people are assumed to offer a meaning within their community. Moreover, he defines that this type of research investigates the fact in depth and will offer more validity rather than quantity research. This research is very helpful for people generally and teachers specially in order to gain new insight regarding to World Englishes and how far is its application in the field. Furthermore, the research mainly focus on education and also classroom-based since it also performs observation. The goal of this article is to assist the teachers and learner to achieve the determined objective. According to Allen (2004) the main influential of technical rational of educational research is to expand the students and teachers to apply the technique to gain predetermined objectives. In subject selection side, the samples or participants of this research are used the stratified random sampling where some people are chosen referred to criteria. This basically suitable with Allen (2004) views where in qualitative research, the samples are representative people which is chosen based on certain criterion rather than random samples. I think the subject selection is appropriate in where the subject are chosen referring to certain criterion therefore the answers acquired will be useful.

The method of this study has been explained detailed therefore it would be possible to be replicated by other researchers. The methods used are unstructured interviews, open-ended checklist, and observation. Unstructured interviews are applied since it will encourage the respondent to answer the questioned naturally without hesitantly. (Krieken et all). This method is suitable with Allen (2004) views that qualitative research gains data through using observations, field notes and interviews which is recorded by tape recorder since someones statement is regarded valuable. Furthermore, he said that this data collection is assumed as triangulate that means collecting much information from various opinion and numerous techniques to gather the data, in order to increase the validity of the research process. The interviewed result were transcribed and then analyzed by using content analysis. Furthermore the researcher searched for differences and similarities in order to be classified based on the suitable themes. This approach is in line with Allen (2004) defines since it endeavor to acquire information from the some people statement (discourses) by analyzing their meaning and application within the institutions by regarding what kind of thing assumed to be respected or not respected and significant or not significant. The data analysis performed is by using thematic analysis for dialogue that used for written and verbal communication. Through this, the entire interviewed results will grouped based on suitable themes. I think this method has been valid and reliable in its implementation and appropriate for answering the question. It is due to obtain accurate answers from teacher it should not only in form of checklist but it is required to perform observation in order to ensure whether the teachers answer are appropriate with their own daily practice. Moreover, in setting the instruments, the researchers also have consulted with the expert. Therefore, in eligibility side, I think it is adequate enough. These findings results basically have elaborated well by researchers therefore the audience will have an illustration regarding the answers. Moreover, since the research is in qualitative type, the results finding are only elaborated in words without inserting numbers and tables. This is suitable with Krieken et all that states that qualitative research usually elaborates the finding in form of words. However, according to me, to elaborate the findings result, the tables functions are significant since they will assist the audience to acquire the result of interview within a short time.

In the discussion side, it defines the results within the research well. Since the data both interview and observation are recorded therefore the date is valid. Moreover, the results also answer the researchers question regarding the attitude of Iran teacher and learner about World Englishes. The researcher states the Iran attitude that preferred much to World English will become as one factor that will incur the deculturation. Therefore, they suggest that World Englishes is important and the Iran people should change their opinion and attitude toward World Englishes. In the discussion, the researchers relates to psychology side of teaching learning where commonly in Iran, all the students speaking error are improved, it is in fact will be an obstacle for students to achieve progress because it will reduce their confidence. Moreover, they points out the understanding of L1 usage in class will disturb the teaching learning process is not right because it is in fact consider will assist the students in understanding the material. To sum up, this research has found out the Iran view related to World Englishes. Furthermore, it has represented the community view that admired the World English. This research is basically reveals this fact in the field and propose the attitude that should be adopted by Iran people. The new perspective that multicultural and also multilingual are considered acceptably in this world therefore the usage of English by mixing little Persian is considered correct in speaking. Moreover, in teaching learning process, the students should be introduced with various accents of English instead of the standard English.
