Electronic Systems
The Warwick Engineering MSc programmes are one-year, researchled specialised courses suitable as preparation for a technical career in industry or for progression to a research degree.
Core Modules
Research Methods Signal Processing Systems Modelling and Simulation
This programme in Electronic Systems includes: advanced instrumentation skills with a focus on silicon micro-machined sensors and actuators; the application of the MATLAB package to advanced problems in signal processing; the operation of ultrasonic and optical transducers in the context of sensing applications; new technologies in fields such as medical technology; the operation and future direction of electronic systems; the performance of sensing systems and their current trends.
Project
Half the course credit comprises a substantial project appropriate to the course of study. This entails an in-depth experimental, theoretical or computational investigation of a topic chosen by the student in conjunction with an academic supervisor. Recent Electronic Systems project titles include: Ultrasonic Communications The Sensitive Mobile Phone 3D Image Compression using Wavelet Transforms Mobile Learning for Healthcare Practitioners Ultra Wide Band Signal Transmission and Propagation
