Great: The Character and Process of Governance
Esta sesin analizar los roles de los directores, procesos de toma de decisiones y la cultura del directorio para revelar las cualidades claves del carcter del directorio. Stephen M. Rick Antle

Rick Antle es profesor de contabilidad en Yale SOM, donde se desempe como Decano Asociado de 1999 a 2005. Es un experto en reas relacionadas a la contabilidad, finanzas y economa. This session will explore some of the lessons we learned, or what we should have learned about derivatives, risk controls, liquidity and financial reporting. Professor Antle will present the best practices in financial risk management, giving participants an opportunity to reflect on their own companies and evaluate areas of improvement in their organizations.

encourage and reward behaviors that enable the firm to effectively execute its strategy and achieve forecasted performance targets. Fundamental to the design process is the boards understanding of the strategy at a granular level, its ability to translate the strategy into key performance targets, and ultimately align cash and incentive compensation with outcomes desired. This session will explore how compensation and incentive systems can be constructed to appropriately reward executives performance in executing the firms stated strategy. We will consider common inventive mixes of intrinsic rewards with extrinsic rewards to build distinctive cultures and a sense of professional ownership over the enterprise, in addition to how these tools drive both immediate performance and longer term strategic objectives.

His book, High Performance with High Integrity, was published in June 2008 by Harvard Business Press. He is currently on an international panel advising the President of the World Bank on governance and anti-corruption. He was named one of the 100 most influential individuals on business ethics by Ethisphere magazine and was named one of the 100 most influential people in corporate governance by the National Association of Corporate Directors.

Ira M. Professor Millstein was a fellow of the Faculty of Government at Harvard Universitys JFK School of Government and the chairman of the OECD business sector advisory group, where he was instrumental in the development of the internationally recognized OECD Principles of Corporate Governance. He is a frequent lecturer around the world and author of numerous books and articles.

Daylian Cain
Ph.D., Carnegie Mellon University, Tepper School of Business
Tras ensear en la Universidad de Harvard, hoy es profesor de negociacin en Yale School of Management. Posee tres masters y obtuvo su Ph.D. en la Universidad Carnegie Mellon. Las investigaciones de Cain combinan la economa del comportamiento y psicologa moral en un esfuerzo por determinar cmo las personas toman decisiones. His research has been discussed in the The New Yorker, Forbes, Harvard Business Review, The Washington Post, BusinessWeek, USA Today, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal and on CNN Financial News. Cains work is also mentioned in the recent book Economics 2.0: What the Best Minds in Economics Can Teach You About Business and Life.
