History
Identify changes over time (c. 100 yrs). Compare old and new forms of transport similarities and differences. Draw some conclusions about how transport has changed the local environment. Use photos to find out about the past. Develop chronological language (old, new, then, now, past, present, etc.) Find out about different forms of transport in the past.

RE
Summer 1: IslamTofestivals and are many types of vehicles. - know that there celebrations/lifestyles. See that vehicles have different purposes and this is reflected in their design. Summer 2: Islam stories.
Produce ideas for their own designs by looking at familiar products. Identify and label parts of a vehicle.
Understand that wheels and axles can be assembled in two different ways: either the wheel is attached tightly to the axle and the axle is free to rotate, or the axle is fixed with the wheel free to rotate around it.
