Notre Dame of Salaman College Lebak, Sultan Kudarat SAC NARRATIVE REPORT

S.Y. 2011-2-12

Another academic year has come on its steadfast struggle towards excellence and competence of students accomplishment in academics, sports, environment and sociocultural involvement. In realizing the schools goals and thrusts for this academic year, the Student Advisory Council with the College Student Government officers took the orientation and planning last May 18, 2012 of the deliberated plan of action done by the administrative council last April. On May 24-26, 2012, the enrolled first year students experienced the Enrichment Program on Reading, Writing, Integrated Science, Geometry, and Sports. The volunteered officers helped the teacher-facilitators in guiding the freshmen. Campus tour was held also that made them feel as part of NDSC Community. On June 2012, organizational meeting was conducted to encourage students to affiliate themselves in academic and non-academic clubs. By July, student leaders took the 2-day Leadership Seminar- Workshop with the varied topics discussed and produced outputs for the organization/ clubs theyre in. By August, NDSC participated in different competitions like cultural dance, band, and dance sports during Araw ng Lebak Foundation Anniversary. NDSC was the champion for the cultural dance and first runner- up for the dance sports competition with all 6 six freshmen dancers grooved in the floor. By September, student- leaders facilitated the groupings of high school and college known as Red Vikings, Blue Knights, Green Gladiators and Yellow Archers in celebrating the Notre Dame Week and Intramural. This was the big event in NDSC for varied areas of competitions had been held. Yellow Archers under Mr. Henry Racho, the team manager awarded as over- all Champion, Red Vikings got the over-all first runner-up spearheaded by Mr. Philip Taberna; Blue Knights led by Mrs. Brelyn Tanangonan garnered the over-all 2nd runner-up and Green Gladiators headed by Mr. Alvin John Sanchez proclaimed as over-all 3rd runner-up. On September 10, 2011, NDSC and NDK did the bonding activities in sports and socio-cultural events. There was a bag contest, Mr. & Ms. Notre Dame 2011 which the proceeds have intended for the proposed project- big tent/s and others like garbage bins. By October, the delegates for the Division Integrated Competition were sent together with coaches at Isulan and Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat. The following events participated were: Student- Technologist and Entrepreneur of the Philippines (STEP) with 4 delegates; Science Quest with 4 delegates too; Math Olympiad with 16 representatives; English Festival with 16 participants; and School Press Conference with 15 partakers. Among with these, the regional qualifiers were from STEP- Table Skirting by Renz Millan4th year; from English Festival Readers Theater by 14 members namely:Joyce Pamela Junsay, Fort Ryan Necesito, Riodell Angelie Fonte and Rolenson Resurreccion, Jr from first year; Janne Patrice Junsay, Paul Darren Pepugal, Chrissa Marie Tandoy, Mark Peruel Acha and Jeaneva Lago from the second year; Johanna Pauline Junsay from third year; David Earl Hostallero, Arsean Kerk Lopez, Shiegred Luz Pabilona, and Crisna Jean Tandoy from

fourth year; and from School Press Conference- David Earl Hostallero, Arsean Kerk Lopez, Shiegred Luz Pabilona, Carlo del Poso, Janne Patrice Junsay and Paul Darren Pepugal. On November, NDSC held high its banner with glory as it was awarded as over-all first runner-up among 8 Archdiocesan Notre Dame Schools of Cotabato (ANDSC) during the NDEA Athletic Meet 2011 at Notre Dame Cotabato, Cotabato City November 23-25, 2011. The school sent 176 delegates, 18 coaches and 5 staffs that made this athletic meet very significant as the champions team were qualified for the Inter- Area Meet representing Cotabato area. The following champions were sent to Tacurong City: Academic Quiz by David Earl Hostallero, Arsean Kerk Lopez and Carlo del Poso, running by Lady Love Dizon, Mark Adryl Centina; basketball by Ariel Alabastro, John Rommel Camilo, Arturo Tacadao; dart by Jaypee Juanico and Dustin Omer Salilama- got champion also; duet by Carlo del Poso and Krystel Raymundo; and table tennis doubles by Carlo del Poso and Olsen Belbeder; sepak takraw by 8 players. By December, the festive family day highlighted the value of oneness as ball games and cheer dance contests were participated by the parents themselves. Last January, the SAC with the help of the admin purchased 14 big drums which divided into halves for the garbage bins. However, the proposed tent will be purchased this summer. By February 2012, four mathematics wizards represented the school at MTAP; theyre Paul Darren Pepugal and Milky Eleazar from 2nd year and David Earl Hostallero and Shiegred Luz Pabilona from 4th year. February 28, 2012 was the remarkable day for the Dameans as the right of suffrage had done by the students during the SAC Elections. The SAC and volunteered Poll Clerks and Third Members monitored and conducted the elections smoothly. By March, the SAC and CSG initiated the tree planting which later then coordinated with MENRO- LGU Lebak together with the 4th year students held at Boac, Pansud; then, later the third year students planted also at Taguisa. Likewise, as the school year was about to end, the culminating activity of the MAPEH classes held the SportsFest last March 7, 2012. Then SAC officers with CSG officers took the evaluation and bonding activity last March 11, 2012. Finally, NDSC triumphed and bagged as champion among high schools in Lebak both in volleyball- girls and basketball- boys in 3rd Maning Freires Cup. For this academic year, NDSC had deeply honored for the unceasing support of the parents, some benefactors, alumni for the success of the whole year round curricular, cocurricular and extra- curricular activities conducted. This is for the total development of the students. Its our salutation to the admin, faculty and staff, for the effort, talents and skills imparted, shared and exerted for everybody. Nevertheless, the joint force of the SAC and CSG officers for the school activities had been practiced and encouraged more student leaders to render humbly service for the welfare of NDSC community.
