Men were considered not appreciate their girlfriend feelings. They only think about their will and pleasure and do not appreciate their girlfriends mind. They think that abortion is a simple and easy operation without thinking their girlfriend feeling which consider that abortion is inhumane. Woman, which is the object of the operation, consider that abortion is a kind of

murder. Women think that if they do abortion, it is same as they kill or cut off a precious part of their body. The victims of abortion which is also precious for men, never felt by men, so men do not know and do not want to know about this. Expressive: Hemingway uses The American Man as the main character because it represents most of the men attitude in this whole world, not only American Men. American men were chosen by Hemingway because He lives around them and perceive all of the men in this world are same in assuming that abortion just a simple and easy way to do, but they do not know that the victim of abortion is so precious, which only thought by women. Pragmatic: by reading this story, the verbal duel between the two lovers, readers, especially men, can know that abortion is not inhumane. Men do not know that the victim of abortion is precious, because they never feel anything precious thing like that attached in their body. After reading this story, we especially men are expected not to persuade our love to do abortion, because the victim of abortion is so precious not only for her, but also for us.
