Role: Report to: Responsible to: Educational and Professional Qualifications Lecturer in Property Market Research Head of School of the Built Environment Head of School of the Built Environment Essential Desirable Degree in a discipline relevant to the posts remit such as: Property Investment & Development, Estate Management, Geography, Economics, Housing. Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline. Research experience (to include a period of study towards a postgraduate qualification or a period gained as an employee on a funded research project or in an academic post) during which the candidate will have acquired significant research knowledge and capability in a topic relevant to the post. Evidence of research/consultancy experience in the property or housing disciplines. Experience of contribution to teaching. Experience of dissertation supervision postgraduate research students. for undergraduate or Ref: 1135870

Desirable

Experience in the use of quantitative/statistical methods or GIS as applied to property market analysis. Experience of presenting research findings at conferences/seminars. Evidence of ability to plan and meet deadlines.

Evidence of completion of administrative tasks associated with research or teaching. Evidence of completing research projects and report writing. Experience of successful co-ordination of research project(s) or other evidence of successful organisation ability Evidence of external esteem, eg membership of committees of learned societies, editorial boards Good oral and written communication skills

Ability to communicate effectively the strengths and potential of the research activities within a particular discipline to a variety of audiences. Proven ability to work as a team member. Experience of communicating with the general media.

Evidence of an interest in and potential to develop research activities in the professional subject area. Evidence of contribution to at least two external research funding applications.

Research Desirable

A named holder of external research funding. Evidence of research leading to publications or other research outputs appropriate for the discipline. Involvement with technology/knowledge transfer and/or other outreach activities.

Willingness to travel as required by the demands of the position. Willingness to present papers to conferences and other forums.
