four qualities that I feel that I can positively represent. I take part in many community activities that demonstrate those qualities. I show leadership skills everyday when I step on to the tennis court. Playing at the #2 Varsity spot, I make sure to show positive examples of working hard and sportsman ship. As well for qualifying for the state tournament, I was able to lead and represent for not only my team but school and community by showing my determination and having fun. It is also become tradition for me to lead our team in a pep talk before an important match. Other ways that I show leadership skills are at my summer club. Being in the advance level for tennis, I am able to teach and show the younger kids at the club, from serving with spin to holding the racket correctly. Another skill that I feel like I demonstrate is my scholarship. I am very organized and make sure to do all my homework every single night. My hard work has paid off because I was able to sustain a 4.0 freshman year and a 3.9 so far for sophomore year. This year I choose to challenge myself with an honors English class that I have been able to maintain an A in all year round. Also I am taking a challenging Spanish year 4 class. When it comes to school work, I always make it my priority and put in lots of effort in all my work. Lastly, one of the most important qualities is service and being able to give back to my community. For each holiday my family makes sure to help people in need. Every year since I was in kindergarten I have participated in the Syre Halloween Carnival. Many years I have been working at a booth that my Girl Scout troop of 10 years has put on. Now that I am older, I put most of my time into the operation of the haunted house. Every year over 8 hours are put in on my part, from the set up, working the whole 4hour shift, and then tearing it down. Also, every year my family participates in stuffing stocking for homeless and underprivileged children. This was our 10th year participating and our 3rd as a shelter captain. At a young age I was taught the importance of giving and servicing my community and would continue to as a member of the National Honor Society.
