For my overall music video I chose my target audience between the ages of 15-26 year olds due to Euro pop being most popular with the female and male teenage/young adult generation. My questionnaire results were also prior to me choosing the target audience even though there was other music genre which were as popular. Before even starting from scratch on mine and Rose's music video we had to do pre before work such as Style Research, Style Research Statement, Target Audience Profile, Questionnaire, Target Audience Analysis, researching into similar media products (music videos), Storyboard, LocationStills and lastly a pitch. In mine and Rose's music video we had both chosen the song 'Im blue' by Eiffel 65 and to do a similar storyline on an alien but this time the alien would be exploring Westfield, instead of just outer space like in the original video. I had chosen to match the lyrics to objects for example: ''blue his house with a blue little window'' I wanted to film one of our friends which would of had their face painted blue to walk out of a blue house, this would of emphasized the lyric more. Another idea was to film the publics reactions as Blue the character would be strolling round westfield with a blue face. That is something you dont see every day. However my ideas couldn't carry on as we both struggled to travel to the location and also due to our main character dropping out at last minute, but we did have a quick idea to film it at another place we would get the publics reactions. The place was Walthem cross. As now me and Rose was in a rush to get filming, we both decided to just film Blue being stupid and funny. Which we would later then make it all come together in Adobe premier software with special effects like visual effects (background colours and speed). Further more because we didnt have a long enough footage of Blue at Walthem cross, me and Rose videod ourselfs dancing to the song and Rose miming as if she was the lead singer. That footage was then edited into our video. The similar three media texts I annalysed were Katy Perry: ET, Cherl loyde:Swagger jagger and Jessie J: Domino, these all had an obvious simlarity and that was special background effects for example in ET Katy is floating in outer space which couldnt be filmed in real life, and for Swagger jagger there was cartoon objects appearing. Also in Jessie J's domino video she had a background constantly changing behind her, it would have been done on a green screen same as Katy Perry's background. The ET song and video sounded and looked very futuristic just like our song we had chosen, me and Rose did intend to set out and create our video to be futuristic but didnt have the equipent (green screen). Every camera shot in our music video is either long or mid shot to keep focus on the main charactor, just like Domino. However I did want to incorperate a few more camera angle's such as a behind shot of Blue walking but I was mainly the director instead of filmer. For our music video we only used two locations and that was Walthem Cross and Turnford schools dance studio. Our response back from the questionnaire we released, showed that they preferd a music video with a story line. Whereas in our video we have a tiny bit of a story line

then its just a fun music video for entertainment. The fun relates back to another popular question answered on the questionnaire, fantasy, reality and humour were the most picked elements people wanted in a music video. Fantasy shows in ours because there is a pretend alien walking around and reality and humour was represented in the dancing scenes. A majority of the public we asked said they like a music video with dancing in it, at the time we was making our video we didnt plan to involve dancing but later through editing we found funny/entertaining dance sequences me and Rose filmed whislt testing out the recording system. Mine and Rose's final video was basically a representations of not all music videos should be serious and show storylines, although some do present important life storys. The younger part of the world do like to see humour in music videos as it makes them happy. That is what I was trying to communicate through this video. This music video consisted of costumes, sound, editing and camera angles/shots. Only type of costume we used in our video was blue face paint to relate back to the lyrics, the sound was 'Im blue' by Eiffel 65. It was released in late 1980s, early 1990s. Whilst editing our video we included repeats of the same scene occasionally and manipulated the colour of a couple of scenes, also its another way to have more affect. Our camera angles were limited due to only one person filming, as I have said before I did have ideas for a few more camera angles, what could of made our music video more experimental. Throughout this whole production me and Rose have hardly been together in lessons due to whole day exams and dance practises. However we put effort into the video when alone, but because of this lack of being together to complete it in time I did ask Rose if she would like to come back at a couple of lunch times, she agreed but the teacher wasnt there when I checked. Aswell as another time when we both agreed but didnt get a message back confirming that we could come into school. If I had another opportunity to re-do the music video I would of took more control in the filming department to make sure we include a variety of camera angles.
