tif) Third Sunday of Easter Todays gospel depicts the disciples as terrified, disbelieving and wondering. Yet Jesus stood among them and said: Peace be with you. What was he thinking? Terror and peace just dont go together, do they? Exactly. No matter how difficult or messy the situation may be the Risen Lord will be with us offering peace and quieting our fears. 365 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. Do you believe that Jesus is truly present in the consecrated Host? Pray that you may have the strength of St. Peter to proclaim, "You are the Christ, the son of the Living God." and the faith of St. Thomas to cry out, "My Lord and My God." The following are hours in need of help: Thursday 8-9 am, 3-4pm, 4-5pm, Friday 10-11am and 12 (noon) -1:00pm, and Saturday 10-11am (for approximately six weeks). If you are able to spend just one hour with our Lord please contact Judy Soltis at 330-212-0926.

I really appreciate all your efforts to answer that call. You give so freely, sacrifice so much. Many of you volunteer and participate in ministries. Many of you use your gifts and talents in service to God and St. Augustine Church. Many of you tithe, giving the first 10%, as a gift to God for the carrying on of the mission of Jesus Christ. All you do is truly heroic when you are asked to do so much. I would like to thank you for your participation, once again this year, in Heifer International. We have once again raised enough money to build an Ark in order to help the poor and feed the hungry; we gave a gift that will keep giving. Thank you so much for once again answering the call and sacrificing so much to raise $6,348 for Heifer International. I am truly humbled by your compassion, your care and love. Christs Peace! Fr. Often home mission priests and lay ministers require special training to attend to the unique needs of their faith communities. Your support is necessary for the success of these and other projects. Please help strengthen the Church at home through your generosity to this Appeal; there will be a second collection next weekend. Please note: The next Pre-Baptism Class has being changed to Tuesday, May 1 at Immaculate Conception Church, Kenmore. The class begins at 7:00pm. and will be held in Hitch Hall (under the church).
