I NTERNATIONALS BEYOND BORDERS A FOUR TIME WINNER AT 33rd ANNUAL TELLY AWARDS ESPN Internationals 30-minute special B eyond Borders has picked up two Silver Awards (the highest honor) and two Bronze Awards at t he prestigious 33rd Annual Telly Awards. With nearly 11,000 entries from all 50 US states and numerous countries, the series won awards in the Documentary, Cultural, Social Responsibility, and Use of Graphics categories.

Bristol, CT April 24, 2012 Beyond Borders was presented with two Silver Telly statuettes, the Awards highest honor - Less than 10% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Silver Telly. The Silver Tellys were a warded in the Documentary a nd C ultural categories. The Bronze Tellys were a warded in the Social Responsibility and U se of Graphics categories. ESPN Internationals Andy Bronstein, Senior D irector On-Air Promotion a nd D evelopment, was the Executive Producer for Beyond Borders. The program was hosted by Johannesburg-based Dan Williams a nd produced a nd edited by Tim Coakley a nd Fabio Malavazzi of One World Sports Media. Joel Markus created the animation a nd graphics. L eon Kagen, Kaline Schounce and Brad M ilsap were the photographers. Beyond Borders, told the story o f the C hicago Bulls star Luol D eng, originally from Sudan a nd New York Giants standout Mathias Kiwanuka, whos grandfather was the first Prime M inister of Uganda. Both men have found success a t its highest level in the U nited States but they have made major efforts, returning to their homelands a nd making significant contributions o n the ground to improve the lives and well being of those in their countries. The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 a nd is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, a nd cable TV commercials and programs, the finest v ideo a nd film productions, a nd online commercials, v ideo a nd films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected a dvertising a gencies, production companies, television stations, cable o perators, a nd corporate v ideo departments in the world. A prestigious j udging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly a nd a m ember of The Silver Telly Council, j udged the competition. L ess than 10% of entries are c hosen a s Winners o f the Silver Telly, our highest honor. Approximately 25% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Bronze Telly.
