WAREHOUSE & LOGISTIC SERVICES

We are linked to Global Park which operate as a Logistics hub for manufacturers and retailers of locally produced clothing. Building is well advanced on a warehouse facility, whose footprint will exceed 300,000 sq. ft. The site also includes a considerable area of airconditioned office space, which is available for rent at very competitive prices. G.T.L. will provide a third-party logistics service, offering customers a comprehensive and flexible range of services. These will include. Transport to and from the site Quality Auditing Touching up / Pressing Storage and Consolidation Packaging / Pre-retail Vacuum Packing

Web enabled EDI links will be available, permitting full visibility of stock and stock movements, the declaration of stock availabilities and the receipt of picking instructions. The latest developments in telecoms will be delivered via fibre-optical links. G.T.L. will offer a full (door-to-door) Import /Export service for sea and airfreight. The entire site will be bonded and a fast track customs procedure, unique to Global Park, has been agreed with the customs authorities. Great emphasis will be placed on site security and the site will operate 24 hours per day. G.T.L has identified its first target market as the principle UK chain-store retailers, to whom they can provide a truly unique service. The concept is simple. They can offer customers a one-stop shop and an end-to-end solution for their Sri Lankan logistics. Customers will be able to minimise expensive UK / European handling and storage costs by consolidating and storing finished goods offshore, ensuring that the quality of stock is correct before export and, as far as is possible, delivering direct to Distribution Centres or High Street Stores, bypassing existing expensive UK supply chains. Global Park is set to revolutionise Sri Lankan logistics.
