This has been a very busy quarter for us! Starting out the new year with the celebration of Ethiopian Christmas, and traveling to Addis Ababa to look into some partnerships for the support of deaf children. We have had several great opportunities to do evangelism among the deaf and pass out bible tracts! In January my good friend Mussie and I went by motorbike to the town of Maichew for the Regional sports championships and attended the deaf Olympics for our region. We were able to meet many deaf from all over the state and pass out many bible tracts and have many great discussions of our Lord Jesus Christ! Signs of Peace is a ministry of Antioch Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana. All projects and outreach are done under the council and leadership of ABC. All doctrine, teachings, and project work are done in agreement with the Statement of Faith held by ABC which is the current SBC Statement of Faith which can be found at www.sbc.net/bfm/bfm2000.asp The purpose of our ministry is to Worship God by preaching the Gospel to the lost and letting our Faith in Christ be revealed by the works we do. I have talked much in this article about Evangelism to the deaf. I have been so captivated lately in how the Lord equips the called! Then seeing Him work these things out in my life have been truly heart molding. There is an Ethiopian brother named Alemyeu who lives just outside of Addis Ababa.
