com; Coordinator, Multicultural Connection Subject: Convention Approval Scott, I propose that we hold a new convention: Multicultural Connection. With this convention we can expand who we collaborate with and allowing this to happen will result in many opportunities for all companies including ours. The graph below indicates my research. Group 1 specifies the many businesses that have collaborated with more diverse companies and as a result, more customers. Group 2 specifies the businesses that do not necessarily collaborate with multicultural businesses.

The Centerville Media Associates Multicultural Convention will be an opportunity for the public to see how multicultural businesses present a wide variety of employment and knowledge We will need the participation of employees for this to be a success. Date April 27th-May 29th February-April 1st February March March-April May 25th-28th April April May 29th

Committees we need at least 3 or 4 for each. Dates: start job and the deadlines. Dates that are 1 month-Deadline (they may start whenever.) The information assistants are for the day of the convention.

Employees will be able to get the Convention to run more smoothly and help expand their skills. Letters to local businesses and other businesses will be requesting their participation to put on the event, be a host, sponsor the convention/our business or table their own business. I have the top locations and ideas of what is needed; I will give you an estimate on cost. The convention will give our company a variety of opportunities to expand locally and globally. We can learn about other businesses and diversify the associates we collaborate with. This will help our company immensely; we should not pass this up. This could turn into an annual event. I would be happy to provide any additional information. Crystal Zarate Coordinator, Multicultural Connection

For this event to be a success we need the participation of employees. Here are some of the positions and committees available: Committees Advertising Contact Businesses Schedule Speakers Tables/chairs rent Setting up Food/vendors Security Positions Information Assistants (3) Date May 1st-May 27th January-April 1st February -March March-April May 23rd-26th April April May 27th Name

Committees will need at least 3 or 4 people. The dates listed are starting points and deadlines. You may start whenever you feel suitable, although the latest to start is listed. The information assistants are for the day of the convention. Please indicate which committees you are willing to be in. Also list more than one committee or position because I may have to rearrange people. If you willing to be in more than one committee please tell me. Here is a brief overview of what the committees job is: Advertising: Come up with an advertisement and multiple ads. I have been in contact with a television station and have given them a rough draft. You may change it. Contact Businesses: I have already sent out a letter to multiple businesses. This committee will be the follow up. Make sure and contact the businesses to see if they are going to participate. Also remind each business of the convention. Schedule Speakers: Speakers can be anyone: the businesses there, businesses that have expanded their company by connecting with other businesses, etc. We need at least 2 or 3 speakers.

Table/chairs rent: Rent the tables, chairs and a stage, if needed. I will give you a layout of the building. We will need long tables and round tables. You are in charge of finding a company, but approval is needed. Setting up: We will need more than 4 people for this committee. Anyone who is willing to help please do. We will be setting up the tables, chairs, and anything else. Food/vendors: Find a catering company and vendors. This committee is in charge of helping them set up and informing them when they arrive. Security: Provide security personal for the doors. About 2 or 4 depending on what doors are used. Information Assistant: We will have a table out front the whole day of the convention. Help businesses find their table and anyone else who needs help. We will alternate people so no one will be working the whole day.

The Centerville Media Associates Multicultural Convention is a way for multicultural businesses to introduce their company to the public, organizations, and other businesses. This convention is an opportunity for the public to see how multicultural businesses are different. It will provide a wide variety of employment for the public and knowledge. Also the convention will give our company a variety of opportunities to expand locally and globally. We can learn about other businesses and diversify the associates we collaborate with. This will help our company immensely; we should not pass this up. This could turn into an annual event.
