Dearly Beloved People of God, Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am sure those who were part of the camp and enjoyed the ministry of Bro. G.P.S Robinson would have been blessed abundantly. To Jesus be all Glory. I have been reading from the book of Job in the Old Testament and purposed in my heart that I must complete reading this whole book before the end of this month and must get something out of it that must speak to me as to Gods majesty and sovereignty. Well God did not disappoint me in that there are many things that a sincere reader can get out of one of the oldest book in the Bible viz. The book of Job. The Holy Spirit has revealed in this book a wealth of information concerning the many things man would discover even before they were discovered during the past few centuries. When many contend that the claims of the Bible are not applicable to the present age these discoveries only prove that Bible is a book for all ages for its author is the Holy Spirit of God. ( 2 Timothy 3:16) But what struck me most were the troubles God allowed to strike the life of Job. When we read the first few chapters in this book we will see how God ALLOWED Job to be tested. Often times we come across some such experience as a result of our own actions, and some without any sense at all, it is important to note that nothing happens to us is a surprise to God. He full well knows of each event how it affects us. He does not choose troubles for us but ALLOWS them and gives us strength to deal with them. We need to understand that nothing is our life is beyond Gods plan, purpose and protection. Be encouraged that he would never allow anything that could not ultimately be used for our good. Job said He replied, You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble? Job 2: 10 (NIV). In all this, Job did not sin in what he said. What a testimony for God. He put his trust in God and was hoping that despite all his troubles God would eventually bless him- AND HE DID WITH TWICE WHAT HE HAD. Lets take heart that, even when the troubles have come to us- with it comes the promise of hope that God is in full control of our lives as we continue to live for him. With Much blessings, Pastor Srikanthan.

My Experience at El-Rancho Aunty Padma Rajanayagam

El Rancho, Waikanai is a very familiar name to all members of the Wellington Tamil Christian Fellowship who meet regularly at the Salvation Army Hall, Tawa. The family camp at El Rancho is an event which every one of us look forward with a lot of excitement and expectations. This year the family camp was arranged from the 31 March to the 1 April 2012. The camp preacher this year was Bro. GPS Robinson who leads the Jesus Meets ministries in Chennai, India. The first session of the camp started with a beautiful Praise and Worship led by Bro. Christie from Auckland and the message was based on Mark 9:28, where Jesus answered a question from His disciples. Jesus emphasised the importance of fasting and prayer which should be part and parcel of our life too. The session went late into the night. The Saturday morning session started around 9 AM with an audience of about 70 including children which ended late in the afternoon. Though it was a long session, the audience were fully engrossed and interested in the captivating message. The Pastor made his message interesting with anecdotes and hilarious humour. At times, the participants were questions to assess their knowledge of the bible. The evening session ended as an anointing session and many received the blessings of the Holy Spirit. Many were blessed with the gift of tongues and healing. The night ended with a debate on the topic Communal living is better than Independent Living. Many valuable points were raised by the proposition and the opposition. Finally two experienced members voted that independent living is better. The Sunday morning session came to a close with a Holy Communion Service.

We owe a great debt of gratitude to the leaders who prepared delicious food during the occasion. There was abundance and variety of food accompanied by joy and laughter. Space does not permit to write in detail all we learnt. We commend and thank the organisers for providing transport for those who needed it. Every participant left the camp site with precious memories and with Joy and Peace of God.
