1. About 6 inches from the cable end, score the circumference of the outer cable jacket.
4. Push the braid back toward the overjacket, creating a bulge in the braid. Where the braid exits the outer jacket, bend the cable over on itself creating an elbow. Using a small screwdriver, create an opening in the braid at the bend elbow.
5. Keeping the braid pushed towards the elbow, push the cable upward through the braid opening.
6. After the cable is pushed through the braid, pull the braid tight. This will be the heater ground wire.
7. Approximately one inch from the braid exit point, score the circumference of the inner jacket.
8. Then score the outer jacket from the circumference cut toward the cable end. Do not cut into the heater core.
9. Flex the scored point and remove the inner jacket, exposing the heater core.
10. Shave the core material from the outside of each bus wire.
12. Using needle nose pliers, grab each bus wire and pull it away from the heater core material. Expose each wire down to the intact inner jacket.
14. After all the cables are stripped, threat the cables through the breakout boot, one per leg.
15. Next push the 1.1 x 8 shrink tube over the cables up toward the breakout boot. Push up and out of the way.
16. Align the cables and trim the bus wires evenly.
17. Remove the release paper from a mastic tape strip, wrap around the cable approximately 2 from the cable jacket end.
18. Wrap a second mastic tape strip around the cable end where the bus wires exit. Repeat on all three cables.
19. Stack all three cables on 20. Wrap the two stantop of each other. dard cable ties around the cables below the mastic.
21. Pass all three ground wires through the uninsulated crimp and crimp them. Trim off excess ground braid. Trim excess ground braid length.
22. Twist three bus wires together on each side of the cable bundle. Now place the insulated connectors over each bus wire bundle and crimp.
23. Using a piece of mastic tape, diaper the bus wire butt connectors.
24. Slide the end cap over the cable end assembly and heat shrink down tightly. Then pull the 8 long shrink tube down and over the end cap and heat down tightly.
25. Slide the breakout boot over the 8 shrink tube and heat shrink down tightly.
26. Use the tie wrap with the nail hole to suspend the complete assembly at the top of the gutter.
