India Warehousing Conference

Experts from across India will be meeting at the India Warehousing Conference on 17-18 November 2011 to discuss Exploring New Markets, Developing New Strategies to Build a Successful Supply Chain Business in Western India. The conference will be concurrently held on exhibition floor of India Warehousing & Logistics Show 2011, a three day exhibition on 17-18-19 November 2011 at University Grounds, Ahmedabad. Conference will be convened by Howard James Scott, Owner and CEO of Big Bear Enterprises who has a vast experience of over 25 years in the industry. Important topics like factors influencing demand of warehousing, key sectors influencing demand-supply ratio of supply chain will be discussed in second session of day one. Development of Dry ports and new logistics hubs and how transportation plays a vital role will be presented in the next sessions. The closing session will discuss a never been discussed topic of generating skilled human resource and making this industry a preferred career choice. Other session themes will include designing modern cold storage facilities, as well as latest development and offerings for the sector. Important questions like: How to set up world class cold chain facility which integrates mobile and commercial refrigeration which is ecologically acceptable and economically viable. And beyond that, how transportation system plays an important and integral role in supply chain. The aim of the conference is to explore answers to these questions and similar key issues. Conference day two, post lunch will have session on technology and advanced systems for warehouse management and material handling. This session would in depth discuss about the cutting down the cost and making operations more efficient while reviewing the best global practices. Other keynote session includes discussing the impact of GST on the sector; wherein how supply chain & logistics industry will be benefitted from the implementation of GST and what measures should be undertaken for smooth adaptation of GST in the business will be discussed in detail.
