ELECTRICAL ENGINEER/FACILITY SUPERVISOR ENGINEERING HEAD To be review

MAIN FUNCTION: The principal challenge of this position is to effectively troubleshoot, manage, control, monitor and upgrade the electrical control systems of the plant. This position, through mentoring and training, will also help the development of the capability within the Engineering Department group.

MAIN DUTIES: Assist the Engineering Head in the preparation of project reports, cost estimates, project and equipment manuals, layouts and documentation necessary for projects. Troubleshoot process and machine electrical issues and determine the appropriate course of action Perform proactive and reactive repairs and maintenance to process and auxiliary equipment. Recommends minor changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance. Prepares standard test apparatus or to a limited degree contrives test equipment and circuitry and conducts functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype of production model or completed production equipment. Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance. Operates machine shop tools as necessary to fabricate non-procurable items, such as coils, terminal boards, chassis, etc. Monitors newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions. Assists in writing operational manuals and procedures relating to the operation and maintaining of Company equipment electronically, electrically, or electro-mechanical pneumatically. Assists Company technical personnel in any other manner agreeable to both parties.

Troubleshoot, repair and contribute improvements to all in-house industrial controls, programmable controllers, etc., and performs preventative maintenance functions to such equipment. Assist production department when necessary to ensure the smooth and efficient running. Communication: ensure reporting and visual communication systems are updated regularly and accurately. Communicate clearly and concisely to shift members, peers and management. Safety: maintain a safe working environment by upholding Company health, safety and environmental policies; responds promptly to unsafe conditions and other safety issues identified by safety. Assures that weekly or monthly preventive maintenance of machines and equipments are implemented. Perform reviews in all job orders being forwarded to Engineering, schedule the job orders based on prioritization. Supervising the assigned technician in performing engineering activities, must be keen in monitoring daily outputs. Involve in performing analysis and finding an immediate or alternative solution on machine breakdown. Perform other functions as deem necessary.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: (Considering the essential functions necessary to provide products and services of this position, include environment, education, experience, human relations, communication, and other physical or mental skill requirements.)

Must be licensed electrical engineer (REE). Position requires the knowledge of electrical engineering principles and applications normally acquired through the attainment of a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and/or equivalent vocational training and actual experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have an understanding of circuit analysis, electrical, electronics, control systems, signals, power distribution, PLCs, microprocessors and communication systems. Basic knowledge of various computer programs, including: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and other related software programs.
