WELLNESS SERVICES

A range of wellness services are offered on an in-patient and outpatient basis to enhance the recovery process. A complimentary session of Reiki or Massage Therapy is provided to all clients. Additional sessions are available on a private pay basis. Reiki A gentle hands-on technique using universal life force energy to balance and align energy centers. Treatments are performed by a certified Reiki Practitioner / Master. Creates balance between the spiritual, emotional and physical aspects of the body to promote healing and relaxation. Massage Therapy Involves the manipulation of the soft tissue using a hands-on approach to promote health. Performed by nationally certified and licensed Massage Therapists. Improves circulation, immune system functioning and joint mobility while promoting relaxation. Yoga, Tai Chi and other alternative treatment techniques are provided during therapy treatments. Speech Language Pathology, with our licenced therapists, assists individuals to learn to master new communication skills and to handle chewing and swallowing difficulties. Many individuals learn skills to assist with memory loss. We maintain a team approach in our Rehabilitation Department. Physical Therapy (PT) is the rehabilitation specialty that works closely with an individual to restore their functional abilities. Some treatments may include flexibility and strengthening exercises, as well as, gait training, balance activities, safety with transfers and pain management techniques. Physical Therapists are highly specialized healthcare professionals who are able to assess the individuals deficits and develop treatment programs accordingly. Occupational Therapy (OT) is the rehabilitation specialty that assists an individual to regain the ability to perform activities of daily living.
