1. ABSTRACT:The ROOM RESERVATION SYSTEM is the main part of A HOTEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.

The ROOM RESERVATION SYSTEM is use to reserve a room in a hotel that consists of multiple collections, Such as several rooms, dining halls, spas and regarding services using service oriented architecture. This system contain information about hundreds of rooms and there services. Managing a personal collection of such magnitude could be difficult if one was to rely on using databases or spread sheets entering detailed information of each items is a huge undertaking and tedious work. We present a major solution to solve this complexity by building a room reservation service is used to manage a hotel library. The room reservation service maintains a database to record each users collection. The users can check the availability of the rooms and other things attached with rooms. Consider a reservation database with the following Transaction: 1. Check out an availability of a room (s) / return a choice of a room (s); 2. Get the list of the different kind of available room; 3. Find out the list of room (s) currently checked out by a different customer (s); 4. Find out what borrower last checked out a particular room(s) of a hotel; 5. Now, make a selection of a room according to their need from the list;

2. INTRODUCTION:This synopsis contain the brief description of Room Reservation System by which a developer can easily understand that which kind of programming is to be done so that the system can satisfy all the requirement of customer and can provide a natural and understandable interface to its user. System would be used by different customers who may be other(s) / unknown or belong from the same hotel to check the availability of the room(s) and select the room(s), and by the management/manager to update the databases .The purpose of the document is to analyze and elaborate on high-level needs and features of the room reservation system. It focus on the capability provide by a hotel.

3. PURPOSE:Purpose of the project is to create a Room Reservation System which sorts the management/administrators, staffs and customers separately. It empowers each management / administrators, staffs and customers with different levels of privileges. It also sorts the available items in the hotel and lets administrators / management person (s) to monitor items/members and also generate graphical report(s) for them. It provides following facilities to operator: Can enter details related to a particular room (s); Can provide membership to member (s) Admin; Can read and write information about any member of hotel; Can update, create, and delete the record of membership as per requirement and implementation plants. Also ensure about the comfort of their customer (s);

4. SCOPE:There are various scopes of this system which are as follows: The system provides logon facility to the user (s) / customer (s). The system lets the person of management/administrator, staff to check which all members/customer (s) have properly checked-out the room (s) and whether they can take any more room and feature of hotel or not. The system allows the management/administrator to create the room (s) catalog, add/delete room (s) and maintain the room (s) catalog. 3.2 Scope of improvement:Now a days hotel is providing many other facilities, this project can also be improved with the improvement in the hotels. Utmost care and back-up procedures must be established must be established to ensure 100% successful implementation of the computerized hotel system. In case of system failure, the organization should be in a position to process the transaction with another organization or if the worst comes, it should be in a position to complete it manually. 3.3 Scope of future application:This project can be used in the hotel after adding some more useful modules in the project for which hotel are providing services. Utmost care and back-up procedures must be established must be established to ensure 100% successful implementation of the computerized hotel system. In case of system failure, the organization should be in a position to process the transaction with another organization or if the worst comes, it should be in a position to complete it manually. The different areas where we can use this application are: Any other hotel can make use of it for providing information about author, content of the available room(s).

5. TECHNOLOGY USED:FRONT END: Hyper Text Markup Language (version no. 4.0):
HTML is the main markup language for web pages. HTML elements are the basic building-blocks of web pages. HTML elements form the building blocks of all websites. HTML allows images and objects to be embedded and can be used to create interactive forms. It provides a means to create structured documents by denoting structural semantics for text such as headings, paragraphs, lists, links, quotes and other items.

CSS (version no. 3.0):Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a style sheet language used for describing the presentation semantics (the look and formatting) of a document written in a markup language. Its most common application is to style web pages written in HTML and XHTML, but the language can also be applied to any kind of XML document, including plain XML, SVG and XUL.

JAVA SCRIPT (version no. 4.0):Java script can be thought of as an extension to HTML, which allows the authors to incorporate some sanctionality in their web pages. It is a scripting language developed by the Netscape which can use for both client side and server side application. It helps in creation of HTML pages capable of responding to user events that reflects the object oriented of web pages.

APACHE HTTP SERVER (version no.-2.0.5.5):

The apache http server project is an effort to develop and maintain an open-source for modern operating system including UNIX and Windows NT. The goal of this project is to provide a secure, efficient and extensible server that provides HTTP services in sync with the current Http standards.

BACK END:

SQL (version no. 5.0):

SQL sometimes referred to as Structured Query Language) is a programming language designed for managing data in relational database management systems (RDBMS). Originally based upon relational algebra and tulle relational calculus its scope includes data insert, query, update and delete, schema creation and modification, and data access control.

6. METHODOLOGY USED:Methodologies based on knowledge and data mining are used to analyze the real data in one specific case hotel management in order to describe the concept better. The results obtained concern the extraction of information about the inter-relations of data and the definition of factors that can be used in management of room reservation system and strategic planning. The scope of the paper is to show how data coming from management, can be analyzed to give useful results for decisionmakers, in order to improve the services they offer. 5 Modules are used in ROOM RESERVATION SYSTEM: 1- Home Screen. 2- About us 3- Rooms 4- Facilities 5- Registration

7. CONCLUSION:In summary Room Reservation System defines a system that can be used for the collection for the data regarding rooms, analyze of room(s) booked, information of the management and the customer data. In the PROPOSED SYSTEM there will be three major components: 1. Availability of the rooms. 2. Information of the customer and room(s). 3. Reports.

Proposed system provides with following solutions:

1. It provides "better and efficient" service to members. 2. Reduce the paper workload of employee. 3. Faster retrieval of information about the desired room. 4. Provide facility for proper monitoring reduces paper work and provide data security. 5. All details will be available on a single click. Room Reservation System Conclusion from a proper analysis of positive points and constraints on the component, it can be safely concluded that the product is a highly efficient GUI based component.
