This programme is highly participative, focusing on real business, technology and industry issues. It is designed to give participants a critical understanding of the key competency areas required for organisational and individual success within the modern telecommunications industry. It enables participants to make more informed and commercially viable strategic decisions, or to contribute more effectively to value creation within their own organisation. The programme is made up of modules covering ve main competency areas, as well as a comprehensive business simulation that runs throughout the programme: Telecoms Business Environment and Strategy Emerging Technologies Finance in Telecoms Leadership & Management Customer Focus / Marketing
The revolution in the provision of communication technologies, services and applications is placing severe pressure on service providers ability to deliver what customers value protably, and to establish a viable long-term competitive business position. Marketing telecommunications services is no longer about selling technology. Communications service providers need to develop a very deep, multi-dimensional relationship with their current and future customers and understand how the revolution in the wider communications environment is changing customers behaviour, value requirements and satisfaction drivers. Organisations that fail to place the customer at the very centre of all their activities will fail to achieve this kind of relationship and will lose ground. The ve day, interactive programme is designed for managers who need to develop a thorough understanding of the customer and customer-centricity in the wider context of the communications industry. It provides the tools to help communications organisations and their partners to assess where, when and how to become more customer-centric and to use customer focus as the basis for improving overall organisational efciency and effectiveness. The programme focuses squarely on the customer, including: Advanced Marketing Changing Customer Requirements CRM & CEM Branding & Marketing Communications Customer Focus & ROMI
The rapidly changing landscape of modern communications presents major challenges for the future positioning and sustainability of traditional and new entrant players. This programme has been designed to enable mid-senior managers, future managers, and specialists in telecommunications and related industries to develop effective telecom business strategies equipping them to steer their organisations more effectively through a high risk environment. This demanding and comprehensive programme gives participants the tools to undertake a solid strategic analysis and critical appraisal of the wider communications industry based on industry data provided by the Informa Telecoms & Media research team. Participants anticipate likely changes and position their organisations successfully and sustainably for the future. The course develops competencies in: Developing Effective Strategies The Changing Business Environment Competitive Advantage Finance & Strategy Risk & Scenario Planning
Understanding the business you are in, and identifying (and monetising) new opportunities is fundamental for operators to ensure long-term success. Key business enablers, including capable and cost-effective technologies, must be deployed in order to develop a sustainable futurebut it carries huge risk unless the business and technology environments are fully understood. This interactive and comprehensive programme focuses specically on LTE as perhaps the key business enabler for telecoms operators over the next few years. It deals with LTE from the point of view of successful business implementation, enabling participants to carry out a critical business appraisal for LTE within their own organisational context, and developing competencies in the following areas: Building the Business Case Technology Options Assessing Costs & Business Models Managing Successful Implementation Maximising Return on Investment
Unique Business Simulation Each Advanced Telecoms Management Series programme includes a unique Business Simulation exercise that runs throughout the week acting to tie in each of the modules into the bigger picture in a practical and interactive way. As we deal with each major topic during the week, youll have the chance to test your ideas and understanding in a simulated environment, maximising the opportunity for learning, whilst developing a more complete picture of the telecoms environment.
