From this talk, what I can summarize is about the true love. Love is a very powerful emotion that every single human experienced. It can drive us to the correct path or to the wrong path. Many people have the wrong idea about what is love actually. In Islam, love is connected with the most fundamental belief regarding to Allah. Love is one of the pillars or foundation of tauheed. Love is expressed through the context of tauheed. When we love automatically we develop belief. Belief is not only in our heart but we have to prove it through our deeds and actions. How to express our love to Allah? In hadith, the prophet said that if you love Allah as you claim, you have to follow the Sunnah and Allah will love us. Following the prophet is one of the criteria to love Allah. It is because when we follow the prophet we actually follow the Allahs orders. By doing obligatory aspects in Islam, we are indirectly developing our love towards Allah. In this talk also, the speaker speaks about human love. Nowadays, people put more stress about human love without concerning about divine love which is love towards the creator, the almighty Allah. We do not have boyfriend and girlfriend relationship in Islam. Actually, this is the cultural problem that the society faces now. Love is fitrah in Islam. Islam does not prohibit love but there is a way on how to express the love towards human beings. Islam encourages human to get married. Islam prohibits homosexual which is relationship between same genders. It is a culture problem that we are facing now. Some people say that homosexual is a trend but it is not. The real love loves Allah and Rasulullah.When we love something or someone else more than we love Allah; we are actually in great loss. Remembering Allah is the greatest love in this world.

PERSONAL COMMENTS

Actually from the beginning when I came across the title, I thought it was on human love,but this talk taught me love is not just for humans. The greatest love is actually towards remembering Allah SWT.I learned that we actually have to take the time to reflect upon ourselves. Is our love towards Allah is strong enough? All this while we remember Allah when we are in difficulties.Often we neglect Allah when we are in mere happiness. But Allah is always All Loving to us. Human love is not permanent. Sometimes it comes, sometimes it goes. But Allahs love is eternal forever lasting. All this while we are actually in fantasy, we forget that this world is just a journey that will be questioned later in the hereafter. It is same with the love,we are actually deceived with the worldly love. This worldly love has no meaning at all if we love something else or someone more than we love Allah. So, we have to develop love towards Allah SWT by doing all his orders and left all his prohibitions.
