Thai producer shows high productivity with BiOWiSH-AquaFarm
Ko Meng, owner of Sermsiri Farm in Pang Na Thailand, has been using BiOWiSHAquaFarm for more than eight years in both his White Shrimp (L. Vannemei) and Black Tiger shrimp (L. monodon) ponds with impressive results.

Mr. Meng initially stocks his shrimp (PL 12) in nursery ponds prior to introducing into the growout ponds. In these ponds, the BiOWiSH AquaFarm is applied at the rate of 40 grams per day. Following the nursery ponds, the Black Tiger shrimp are stocked in 0.8 hectare ponds with a density of 40 animals per meter2 for 122 days. The White shrimp are stocked in 0.48 hectare ponds with a stocking density of 70 per meter2 for 90 days. BiOWiSHAquaFarm is applied to the Black Tiger shrimp ponds at the rate of 57 grams per day per pond and at the rate of 84 grams per day in the White shrimp ponds during the entire growth period. Biomass in the ponds is controlled by partial harvests during the growout period, hence the ability to use a single daily dose of BiOWiSHAquaFarm during the entire cycle. The ponds at Sermsiri Farm are operated with a zero water exchange with adequate aeration to maintain dissolved oxygen levels. Mr. Meng reduces his need for additional chemical treatments by using BiOWiSH-AquaFarm to maintain the water quality in his ponds.
