    Senate Democratic Conference Battles the Ongoing War Against Women


    (Albany, NY) Addressing the current nationwide war against women, all female members of Senate Democratic Conference, along with Democratic Leader John L. Sampson and womens advocates will hold a press conference May 9th, at 12:30pm in the Minority Conference Room announcing three separate forums that will be taking place this month to shed light on the importance of womens issues in New York State. The women of the Senate Democratic Conference issued a letter to Majority Leader Dean Skelos outlining a number of important pieces of legislation that must move forward. Unfortunately, Senator Skelos has ignored this letter. Instead of rolling back womens rights and protections, the Senate Democratic Conference is urging legislators on both sides of the isle to ensure New York keeps its traditional role as a leader in the fight for womens rights.
