Abstract You could either submit an extended abstract of 24 pages or a paper of 410 pages including figures and references. When preparing your extended abstract/paper, please use this template, including all of the predefined styles and headings. Title of paper is Times 18 point, bold, left oriented. The author name(s) are left oriented below the title, Times 11 point, bold, with family name in capitals. The professional affiliation, mailing addresses and e-mailing addresses for each author is Times 10 point, italics. The paper must include an abstract, which should be no more than 200 words. The abstract should describe the objectives, methods/materials, results and conclusions. The abstract heading is Times 11 point, bold. Text of abstract is Times 11 point. Before we can process the manuscript for production of the proceedings we need a signed Copyright Transfer form. Please fill in and sign the form (sent out to authors and announced on the conference website) and send by post or fax to the secretariat at WASCON 2012 Conference secretariat, Swedish Geotechnical Institute (SGI), SE-581 93 LINKPING, SWEDEN. 2 Materials paper margins, title and authors The entire papers margins are 25 mm, the text is margin adjusted and the font is Times. Title of paper is Times 18 point, bold, left oriented. The author name(s) are left oriented below the title, Times 11 point, bold, with family name in capitals. The professional affiliation, mailing addresses and e-mailing addresses for each author is Times 10 point, italics.

3 Methods references, page numbers References should be indicated as (Andersson & Svensson, year) and labelled as such in the References section. Do not edit the headers or footers in your paper.

4 Results headings and body text The primary headings are Times 11 point, bold, numbered. The body text is Times 11 point, margin adjusted. 4.1 Secondary headings are Times 11 point, italic, numbered Secondary headings are the next level of headings. They are Times 11 point, italic and numbered.

5 Discussion figures and tables All figures must be numbered and cited in the text. They should be inserted into the manuscript and be part of the electronic files. Figures captions are Times 10 point (Figure 1).

6 Conclusions Conclusions are preferably written as bullet points: This instruction showed how to write a WASCON 2012 paper. It was very clear and answered all questions.
