Shepherds Bible Rev CHAPTER 16

1. And I heard a great voice out of the temple saving to the seven an-gels, Go your ways, and pour
out the vials of the wrath of God upo n the earth.

# Since this is coming d irectly from the temple, we can safely say that this is Yahveh speaking.

2. A nd the first went, a nd po ured o ut his vial upo n the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous
sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast and upon them which worshipped his image.

# Bear in mind that this first beast is the political system. The word sore is the Greek word #1668
and means, a n ulcer. ( Refer to Rev. 9 :4 where only the men and women which have not the seal of
Yahveh in their foreheads could be punished. Pain will be brought upon them by the lo-custs.) The
reasons for the ulcers will be tension, anxiety, and worry, not knowing what is going to happen and
not understanding the things that are happening now. The people who don’t have the knowledge and
truth, which act as a buffer to the worldly problems are going to get ulcers. Most of the fine
Christian people of the world would not worship the false christ if they knew his identity. They think
they follow Christ. It is simply that they do not know that the false christ will appear first. This is the
reason they receive the mark of the beast.

3. And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea: and it became as the blood of a dead man:
and every living soul died in the sea.

# The sea represents the masses, who being deceived, are dead to the truth taught by Jesus, the
legitimate Christ, and who do not have an opportunity to have eternal life until after the teaching, or
at the end of the millen-nium.

4. And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became
blood.

# We see in this the effect of the two witnesses as they and the 7000 s tand no for Yahveh. Revelation
11:6 says, These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have
power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they
will. Let us understand this fully now. Christ stated in Mark 13:9 that the elect would be delivered up
in the synagogues for a testimony a-gainst Satan. The purpos e is stated in verse 10: And the gospe l
must first be published among all nations. At this time Ezekiel 37 will be fulfilled, because life
(blood) will begin to flow in the dry bones of Israel. The very elect will have sealed the 144.000
before the end of this chapter of Revelation. Hallelujah.

5. And I heard the angel of the waters say. Thou art righteous. O Lord, which art, and wast, and shall
be because, Thou hast judged thus.

# Even after all the torment, the angel of the people (waters) say Christ is just and fair. This verse is
showing love.

6. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and Thou hast given them blood to drink:
they are worthy.

# The saints at the altar are now content. Satan and his followers are getting their just reward.
7. And I heard another out altar say, Even so. Lord God almighty, true and righteous are Thy
judgments.

8. And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun: and power was giver, unto him to scorch
men with fire.

# The word sun is the Greek word #422 meaning light. We read in Revel-ation 11:5, And if any man
will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, a nd de voureth their enemies: We see the truth and
light pouring from the witnesses mouths, scorching and crushing Satan’s lies.

9. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over
these plagues: and they repented not to give Him glory.

# Those who worship the false christ will in actuality be blaspheming Yah-veh’s name. By accepting
the false one they are negating the de ity of Christ. They are saving that the true Christ is false. This
is blasphemy.

10. And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of
darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

#This verse is identified geographically. Satan shall set his seat in the holy place, and this vial is
going to be poured out on the very seat the beast. We know that it is located in Judea. The word
darkness means a lack of truth or light. Lucifer is the prince of darkness. Although he will disguise
(#3345) himself into an angel of light, we know that Christ is the Prince of Light and we, being His
children, are the children of the light. (I Thess. 5:4) Satan’s flimsy disguise of light will be nothing
but darkness compared to the true light of Christ.

11. And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores and repented not of
their deeds.

# The masses will blaspheme because they are deceived, not necessarily out of perverseness or
viciousness. The teaching follows the woes and the plagues.

12. A nd the sixth angel po ured o ut his vial upo n the great river Euphra-tes; and the water thereof
was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

# The east, here, refers to China or Asia. Ezekiel 39 gives us a pretty good idea what will happen to
the kings of the east.

13. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the
mouth of the beast, a nd o ut of the mouth of the false prop het.

#The same uncleanness is coming o ut of the system, the leader, and his teachers, A frog usually
represents something unclean or untrue.

14. For they are the spirits of dev- ils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth
and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

# They are working miracles, not in heaven, but on the earth. These are the miracles spoken of in II
Thessalon- ians and the 13t h chapter of Revela-tion. They will attempt to de ceive you with wonders
and miracles. The da y of the ba ttle is the end o f the sixth dispe nsation. Then, we shall be gin o ur
reign with Him.

15. Behold, I come as a thief. Bless-ed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk
naked, a nd they see his shame.

# What clothing is He talking about here? It is the whole armor of Christ. The full gospel of Christ. It
is right-eousness, brought about by the full knowledge of the Word and the resulting faith in the true
Messiah.

16. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

# In the original transcripts, the word Armageddon, was Harmagedon, meaning a gathering place.
Satan knows peace-ful dissent has failed. He now turns to force (See Daniel 11:38). He is in for a
surprise.

17. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the
temple of heaven, from the throne, saving, It is done.

18. And there were voices, and thun-ders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as
was not since men were upo n the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

19. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great
Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of
His wrath.

# Babylon, which means confusion, will be divided into three parts. God remem-bered what Babylon
had done to the saints which were under the altar. Isaiah 51:22-23 tells us that Yahveh will take the
cup of trembling o ut of our hands and put it into the hands of them that afflict us. Hallelujah.

20. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

# Mountains, biblically speaking, s ym-bolize governments. At this time, governments will mean
nothing. Christ will have returned and set up the su-preme government.

21. A nd there fell upo n men a great hail out of heaven, e very stone abo ut the weight of a talent: and
men blas-phemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

# A talent weighs anywhere between 100 pounds and 180 pounds, depending upon the translation
that you use.

A reading of Ezekiel 38 and 39 in conjunction with this 16th chapter of Revelation would prove
beneficial at this time. Yahveh uses His own created elements to defeat Satan’s army. Israel will not
have to lift a ha nd. Thank you Father.
