Persuasive speech By Omar Ibrahim Outline

1)

Problem: Global Warming increase.

o o

Many planets & animals will die. Human will lose two sources of food.

This will cause starvation & diseases. And also shortage of water.

2)

Cause:
o

The earth is on a natural cycle that causes global warming.

o

The greenhouse gases that we produce make the process faster.

3)

Solution:
a) b)

Planting trees. Try walking instead of using too much transportation. Reduce, reuse and recycle.

c)

d) Turn off unused resources.

Global warming started to be the talk of the world since the 20th century , but the beginning of global warming was so many years ago before that. Glaciers will melt, sea levels will rise & cloud forests will dry, It's becoming clear that humans have caused most of the past century's warming by releasing heat-trapping gases as we power our modern lives. Called greenhouse gases, their levels are higher now than in the last 650,000 years. Global warming is a heat wave coming over from the north side of the globe. As the Earth spins, this wave picks up the moisture over the ocean and turns it into heat. Global warming is one of the biggest issues of this century. Global warming is affecting many parts of the world. Global warming makes the sea rise, and when the sea rises, the water covers many low land islands. This is a big problem for many of the plants, animals, and people on islands. The water covers the plants and causes some of them to die. When they die, the animals lose a source of food, along with their habitat. Although animals have a better ability to adapt to what happens than plants do, they may die also. When the plants and animals die, people lose two sources of food, plant food and animal food. They may also lose their homes. As a result, they would also have to leave the area or die. This would be called a break in the food chain, or a chain reaction, one thing happening that leads to another & so on. Global warming is doing many things to people as well as animals and plants. it is destroying many huge forests. The pollution that causes global warming is linked to acid rain. Acid rain gradually destroys almost everything it touches. Global warming is also causing many more fires that wipe out whole forests. This happens because global warming can make the earth very hot. In forests, some plants and trees leaves can be so dry that they catch on fire. Let's have a look at the many concerns and dangers associated with global warming and the resulting changes in climate around the world.

We will face flooding; weve all seen the pictures of disappearing glaciers and the predictions of rising sea levels. Most people live close to the sea, but many are in denial about the impact of global warming. They falsely believe that the only change that will affect them will be a few centimeter rise of sea level over many decades. We will face shortage of water; many areas could be hit by droughts, especially once glaciers that previously fed rivers have disappeared. As the weather becomes more turbulent. We will face Starvation & disease, Higher temperatures will increase the risk of tropical diseases,. Starvation is one of the biggest unconscious human fears that may well become a reality that is daily displayed on TV. Migration will stress the infrastructure of many cities, even if they weren't affected much directly by climate change in terms of famine, droughts, epidemics, flooding or storm damage. Many countries face uncertain futures, as they are dependent on income from oil, coal, tourism or a single crop that cannot survive climate change. This might lead to war or civil unrest. These harms will grow unless, you reach for a change. The cause: The earth is on a natural cycle that causes global warming. The greenhouse gases that we produce (cars, factories, cigarettes, etc.) go to the atmosphere where they then trap heat in. This heats up the earth, melting the ice. There are so many things we do in our daily life that causes global warming to increase, some of those are Turning on a light, Watching T.V. ,Riding in a car, Using an air conditioner, Using a dish washer and a lot more. Solution: So, how can you as individuals do our part to help save the earth?

The answer is simpler than you may think. You dont have to go miles away from home to protest, or spend a lot of money. If you try to follow the few simple steps you will have started to help save earth. Firstly, plant a tree. Trees, when fully grown, will help keep the planet cooler we need the trees to cool our planet. Something as simple as walking instead of taking the car will help reduce pollution. As well as stopping pollution, you are giving yourself exercise. So the next time you get into your car, or your motorbike, think do I have to make this journey by car or can I walk? Reduce, reuse and recycle. Only buy what you need; dont stock the cupboards with things you may or may not use. Reuse whatever you can, like containers and paper, and recycle what you cannot reuse. Finally turn off unused sources of power such as televisions and heaters will also, help the environment. So, by following those simple rules you can contribute in saving the earth and you would be doing a great thing by saving the earth. Not only is it real, it's here, and its effects are giving rise to a frighteningly new global phenomenon: the man-made natural disaster.-Barack Obama-
