RETURNING TO LOS ANGELES FOR AN EPIC STADIUM PERFORMANCE L.A. MEMORIAL COLISEUM SATURDAY - MAY 19 FANS ADVISED TO ARRIVE EARLY, CARPOOL & TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PUBLIC TRANSIT
(Los Angeles May 14, 2012) Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum will host Roger Waters: The Wall one of the most extraordinary touring productions in rock history on Saturday, May 19th. Given the very large fan turnout expected for a stadium event of this size, venue and city officials strongly urge fans to take note of the following information: ARRIVE EARLY TO AVOID MISSING ANY OF THE SHOW! Heavy traffic and congested streets are anticipated at and around the venue for this show. Coliseum and city officials encourage fans to arrive at venue early to help avoid traffic delays. Fans are encouraged to check traffic patterns before getting on the road in order to plan their route. Go to: www.sigalert.com and www.511.com. Doors will open at 6 PM. The show will start promptly at 8:00 PM. Please note that this is an evening-with event there is no opening act. Exposition Park parking lots will open at 2 PM. In addition to a smoother entry to the show, getting to the venue early means a first look at tour merchandise. Restrooms will also be available at various locations immediately outside the venue for fans that arrive early. Since there are multiple routes to L.A. Memorial Coliseum by car, fans need to take note of directional signage and freeway message boards. Los Angeles Department Of Transportation and the Los Angeles Police Department will deploy throughout the area and will update freeway signage to help direct fans to the venue as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Additional parking is also available nearby on the USC campus. The following is a list of accessible lots:

There can be no open flames (BBQs) near trees or buildings and having an open flame requires a fire extinguisher. No products may be sold and commercial signage is prohibited. No amplified sound is allowed. Carpooling is crucial. The small difference between four versus three people riding per car results in thousands of fewer vehicles on the road, greatly streamlining traffic and parking, not to mention reducing harmful exhaust emissions. Plus, carpooling offers attendees a lower-cost option. Public transportation is a great way to get to the show. Go Metro to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Take the Metro Expo Line to the Expo/Vermont station or Expo Park/USC station. Plan your best route using the Trip Planner at metro.net. Trains run every 12 minutes throughout the day and every 20 minutes after 7 p.m. The last train westbound to La Cienega/Jefferson Station departs Expo Park/USC and Expo/Vermont stations at 12:43 a.m. and 12:45 a.m. Fare is $1.50 per boarding or buy an all-day roundtrip pass for $5 at convenient TVM machines located at the entrance to the stations or just use your TAP card.
