2 INSTALLATION
2.1 Server Installation
Double click DSSServer_V1.0_build_20090212_ENG, now you can see an interface is shown as in Figure 2-1. Please click next to continue.

After the installation, system automatically goes to configuration interface. See Figure 2-5.

You can click finish button to exit installation right now. But our suggestion is to go on to complete the installation. Please refer to the following sheet. Our suggestion is youd better delete the default

path and create your own storage path. You need to set ordinary recorded HDD space and alarm recorded HDD space according to the device configuration. After the setup, you can see an interface is shown as in Figure 2-6. Please click O.K to continue.

2.2 Client Installation

Double click DSSClient_V1.0_build_20090212_ENG, you can see an interface is shown as in Figure 2-10. Please click next button to continue.

Now you can see an interface is shown as in Figure 2-11. Default installation path is: C:\Program Files\DSSClient. You can click change button to modify installation path. Please click next button to continue.

3 SHORTCUT CONFIGURATION GUIDE

3.1 Preparation
Please check the following items: PC and encode device connection is O.K. DSS service has booted up. DSS service server and encode device connection is O.K. There is no other software or management platform in the encode device.

3.2 Configuration
Double click the DSS manager icon in the desktop to go to the log in interface. Input the default manager account (system/123456) and the authentication code to log in. Create organization structure in the organization management section. Create manger right group and operator group in group management section. Create manager or operator in the user management section. Add device in the device management section and add it to corresponding right group. Create storage centre plan. Now, you can use the newly established operator account in the DDS Client to view!
