Light Emitting Display Wall posting in the strategic places at De La Salle University - Dasmarias I. Audience The proposal will be read by the professor of the ENGL 125, Technical Writing. This proposal will be endorsed to the administration of De La Salle University Dasmarias according to the recommending approval of the professor. Afterward, the proposal will be designated to the concerned office for the fabrication of the proposal. The students will also be able to read this proposal as soon as it is approved by the selected persons. II. Purpose The proposal aims to help the University in having announcement of certain information and events. This also helps the organization and the student council be able to promote certain events. This product will take place of the use of tarpaulins and banners as the University also aims for the less production of plastic. The proposed product will help to have an efficient and fast announcement to the academic community of De La Salle University Dasmarias. III. Background De La Salle University Dasmarias is one of the universities that have many announcements to make, events to promote and etc. Most of the organizations and student council is having a hard time to promote their events, advocacies and information to the students due to the lack of posting areas inside the University. Also, most of the posting areas that are in the strategic places are already occupied by the announcements of the

administration. Some of the posting areas inside the University are not easily seen. IV. Problem/s 1. Lack of posting areas 2. Prioritizing administration announcements 3. So many announcement, information, promotion and etc. to display The proposal comes into existence due to the current demand of the students, faculty and administration in the University. The need of posting areas is very urgent because of the need of disseminating certain information to the academic community. V. Solution/s This proposed project will be having an enough size to accommodate every announcement. The product will be installed in all of the strategic places inside the University (Gate 1, JFH Kubo, Botanical Garden, Square Canteen, Administration Building, College of Business Administration, and Gate 3. VII. Parameter/s Upon the approval of the administration or selected individual or committee the project will undergo through the process of purchasing, via Purchasing Office. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The proposal of Light Emitting Display Wall posting in the strategic places inside the University will address the arising problem of lack of posting areas. Information and announcements are very essential and critical in an academic institution. The information and announcements must be at its widest dissemination to cater the constituents of the University. This project aims to help in the problem and contribute to the advocacies of the University. Installation of new, innovative and modern way of posting announcements, information, and promotional things Light Emitting Display Wall will definitely address the current problem of the University. Organizations and council will have a less budget for the production of tarpaulins, banners, posters and other promotional materials. The accumulation of data for this proposal was made through by surveys, and personal interview in the University. Also, the researchers are considered the latest advocacies of the University, Project Carbon Neutral. The data gathered were thoroughly screened and checked so that the ideas were all collated. The estimated budget for the production and fabrication of this project is also included in the proposal. Methods and procedure to attain the target project is also stated. Certain offices will be the one whos going to handle the LED wall for the fullest extent of use of the product.

INTRODUCTION The proposal will focus on the installation of the Light Emitting Display Wall posting in the strategic places at De La Salle University Dasmarias. This project will address the particular problem inside the University. This part of the proposal will include background, statement of the problem, objectives, scope and limitation. Background Dissemination of information is very critical in every academic institution. This may also apply to any organization and council. Announcements and promotion are also part of the daily process of a University. Statement of the Problem The need of the University in terms of widest dissemination of announcements and information are very clear right now. The root cause of this problem is the lack of posting areas inside the University. Organizations and Councils dont have enough space also in promoting their advocacies and events because of the prioritization of the announcements made by the administration. Several posting areas are not placed in the strategic places in the University, thus, resulting to poor dissemination of information. Objectives / Purpose To help in the widest dissemination of information to the academic community. To serve as promotional device for organization, councils, and event the University To promote project carbon neutral of the University in production less plastic (tarpaulin, banners, posters, and etc.) To have less budget for promotional materials. (tarpaulin, banners, posters, and etc.)

Scope and Limitation The project will be used by the academic community of the University only. This project will be for announcements, dissemination of information and promotions only. Other non related usage of the product is highly discouraged.

DISCUSSION Solution The group suggest an innovative and modern way to announce, disseminate and promote information and events inside the University. This includes the following: flashing of announcements, posting of promotional layout for events, playing of videos and teasers for promotional purposes. Installation of this product must be in all strategic places inside the University. Administration, organization and councils announcement and promotion will be posted / flashed in this LED wall. Benefits The benefits of this proposal are the following: Efficient way of announcing and promotion Widest dissemination No more use of plastics (tarpaulin, banners, posters and etc.) Convenience to all students, administrators and faculty Less budget for production of promotional materials Methods and Procedure The methods used to gather the date for the fullest support of this proposal is through surveys & personal interview. Survey The survey was clustered and randomly picked. Twenty (20) individuals from each college were asked to answer the survey with a total of one hundred forty participants. This method ensures the researcher to have a balance result and accurate representation of the University. (See APPENDIX D)

Personal Interview To make this proposal be more reliable and seen to be in need, the researchers have done personal interviews with several individual. Most of the interviewees were students, for the researcher be able to express the voice of the students. Several individuals per college were asked for a personal interview to have a balance representation inside the University. The researchers have prepared the interview transcription of every individual interviewed. (See APPENDIX - E) Installation Installation of the LED Screen will be placed in the seven strategically places at the University (Gate 1, JFH Kubo, Botanical Garden, Square Canteen, Administration Building, College of Business Administration and Gate 3) (See APPENDIX - F)

To help in the fullest and widest dissemination of information, flashing announcement, and posting of promotional media, Light Emitting Display wall must be installed in the strategic places inside the University. The cost of this project is worthless in comparison to the problems, budget for production of tarpaulin, banners and porters. It also contributes to the advocacy of the school, Project Carbon Neutral.

Water Shed Problem: Ms. Del Rio said that only some areas inside the University have water shed and almost those water sheds have leaks already. Mr. Roque also included that the pathway inside the University doesnt have any shed when its rainy seasons. Ms. Del Rio said that the students are getting wet due to that.
