I confirm that a place has been reserved for you in the Division of Surgery under the
supervision of Mr Allardice and Mr N Ingram, Consultant Surgeons from Monday 15
December 2008 – Friday 6 February 2009 If you wish to accept this offer, please
confirm in writing as soon as possible.

Should you accept this placement, please liaise directly with Mrs Debbie Northcott,
Accommodation Officer to arrange your accommodation during your stay,
d.northcott@health.gov.je A modest charge of (approx: £60 per week) is made for a
single room and meals will be provided, free of charge, whilst on duty. Please note
that no honorarium is paid for attending this hospital.

Dear Ms Gettens,
I am a 5th Year medical student interested in carrying out some
surgery practice at The Jersey General next year as part of my 6th
Year Surgery Practice in Dec/Jan 2009 ( for 7 weeks). For the
practice my University would like us to spend time in General
Surgery and also some in Neurosurgery, Urology, Cardiosurgery
and Orthopedics ( attached is a letter from the head of surgery).
Can you please let me know if this would be possible.
