Knowledge in dealing with different kind emergency situations is very useful tool in order to help our community. Therefore, saving lives of people has always been the goal of every person and institution working in the field of Emergency. The Philippine Emergency Medical First Responders Inc. has been recognized and Securities and Exchange Commission are conducting and offering an Emergency Medical Services Course (Emergency Medical Technician Basic Course). This is a 960 course which is a specialized course focusing on prehospital emergencies. However, we have created a course curriculum designed for healthcare providers which is a total of four hundred 400 hours of lecture and skills workshop to include on the job training. In connection with this, in order to reach your area, would like to proposed a consortium between your prestigious institution with our. Attached herewith are the information and schedule of activity of the course. Health, Social and Other Community Development Service Sector Emergency Medical Service NCII Course, upon completion of the course you will be qualified as: EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (Basic).
I. Title of the Training:

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN BASIC COURSE


II. Training Description:

The course is designed to enhance knowledge, skills and attitude of EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN in accordance with the industry standards. The qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to perform the following: (1) Basic Life Support (2) Maintain life support equipment and resources (3) Implement safe access and extrication procedure in an emergency (4) Manage request for ambulance service (5) Allocate ambulance service resources, coordinate resources (6) Deliver basic ambulance communication skills (7) Supervise on-road operation (8) Manage the scene of an emergency (9) Manage the scene of a special event (10) Manage routine scene (11) Deliver pre-hospital patient care (12) Deliver intensive pre-hospital patient care (13) Manage ambulance operations (14) Transport emergency and non-emergency patients The course is 960 hours, however, we recognize prior learning to the students who have completed at least 2nd year college level but not limited to college graduate. We have a Four hundred (400) hours course to include on the job training in an environment of where you can respond in an emergency situation. III. Training Methodology: The delivery of training is adhere to the design of the curriculum and guided by the 10 basic principles of competency based TVET. The training is based on curriculum developed from the competency standards Learning is module in its structure

This training is highly participatory and we will be using various multimedia equipment during the course, like LCD Television, DVD player, LCD projector, LAPTOP computers. IV. Our Instructors / Facilitators: Our Trainers possessed Masters Degree, a graduate of Allied Medical Courses and holder of National Certification from Technical Educational Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) on different programs. They have been the product of experts coming from different credible organizations like the Asian Disaster Preparedness Council (Bangkok, Thailand), National Society for Earthquake Technology - PEER (Nepal), Philippine Heart Association, American Heart Association (Singapore), and Philippine Heart Center. These young and well-versed trainers completed the necessary related courses and share this to meet the needs of the companies. V. Training package inclusive: In connection with the above activity, We have a registration fee of Twenty thousand pesos only (Php 20,000.00) covering the whole training. It includes the following: Transcript of Records duly authenticated by TESDA Individual Completion Card as Emergency Medical Technician A Certificate for Basic life Support with AED A Certificate of Completion on Basic ECG Recognition A Certificate of completion on airway mangement A Certificate of Completion as Emergency Medical Technician Usage of training materials Training modules Use of Personal protective equipment during practical examination (Surgical Gloves and Mask)
