A lifestyle sportswear collection and the final garment made for a teenager client.

Collection inspired by peacock the colors and the texture has been inspired
from the white and the blue peacock

Wearable garment inspired by peacock. The main feature of the garment is that there is no visible side seam in the skirt part because of the layering done.

Statement garment inspired by peacock. This garment is made by hand; no machines used. It has peacock feathers arranged in a chaos way and sequence work done on the skirt. This skirt is cut in a way that it resembles the tail of peacock.

Research based projects

In this section, I have mentioned some of the research projects that we have done.

Project: Make a detailed presentation about Banaras city. Research about the embroideries famous there, the production systems and interview the weavers. Here are some of the slides from this research.

T-shirt motif development

Project: It contains my process of developing the motif inspired by 1970s, by conducting a survey of 20 teenagers. The survey includes the questionnaires filled by teenagers about their choices and preferences. This also includes my client board, mood board and the analysis, with the help of which, I could develop the motif inspired from the rock culture of 1970s. Based on the surveys conducted, I designed these four final-t shirts to meet the public demand. These t-shirt motifs are being made using Corel-draw as the application to develop them in a correct order.

T-shirt questionnaires analysis

Here are some slides from the presentation done on Tandav which is an Indian dance form. In this project I studied about every aspect of this art form and how it is still alive.

Project: Pick one embroidery type and do detail study about it. I chose to
work with mirror embroidery as my theme and studied about the different interpretations of it.

History of Fashion
In this project, we studied about various eras in detail with giving a comparative study from each era about how they still affect our fashion industry. Here are three examples.

Clothing for oversized people

Project: A survey was conducted with 50 oversized women about what they really wanted in the market. These designs are made on the basis of the analysis given. Vertical lines help obese people look slimmer, so I have used them in the designs. This is a party wear collection.

This project helps us in understanding the different aspects of different production systems. We must understand the merits and demerits of different production systems. It aims at helping us to choose the accurate production system for a particular kind of clothing in order to reduce the cost, better productivity, full usage of time.
