Home Faq How to start working: Think of the program as a tool box with webcam solutions. The root of the 'Option Table' consists of these tools. Click the plus sign to expand a tool. You will find some hot buttons above the 'Preview' window. The big triangular buttons below the 'Preview' window select/clear the corresponding 'Enable' checkboxes and also work as indicators turning yellow when the corresponding operation is in progress. You should select the 'Enable' checkbox and clear the 'Cycle' one if you are going to use the corresponding feature instantly by clicking the 'Capture' button or when the motion detection event occurs. You can see brief hints in the program status bar when the cursor stops over an interface element or an option. Leave buttons and options in a certain state when you exit the program and the program will restore this state when you start it next time. More...

There are two ways: - use the FTP Upload feature: http://www.willingsoftware.com/help/FTP%20Upload.shtml

Create a webpage with a link to the name of the file being uploaded and put it on your site. Please take a look at the 'Program Files\Willing Webcam\Web Pages\FTP Upload\index.html' webpage template. You are free to change the template to meet your needs if you want to. Its java script is used to refresh the webcam image only without affecting other webpage elements. - use the HTTP Server feature (live broadcasting): http://www.willingsoftware.com/help/HTTP%20Server.shtml

Please see 'Preferences > Picture Quality > Picture Format > Jpeg Quality'. If you decrease the 'Jpeg Quality' value you will decrease image file size. You have to find a compromise between quality and image size. For easy tuning run 'HTTP server > Run Browser'. You can see image quality in the browser while you are changing the control value, because the preview image will not change. 2. Set the size in the applet description equal to the size of the preview window. Otherwise the applet will upload unnecessary kilobytes and waste time on resizing the image. 3. You can limit the amount of simultaneous visitors using the 'HTTP Server > Max connections' option. Extra visitors will be asked to try later. Compatibility with Windows Vista The HTTP Server feature requires the Java virtual machine to be installed on your computer, because the Microsoft Virtual Machine for Java is no longer included in Internet Explorer v.7 under Windows Vista. A. Your whole network is hidden behind the router which has a certain IP address assigned by your ISP provider. You need a router with VPN capabilities or port forwarding. Connect to the router through your web browser. You have to enter the http server port in the forwarding port box of your router. Virtual Server: enabled Protocol Type: TCP-IP or Both Private Port: WW HTTP Server port Public Port: xxxx public port URL: http://Public IP:Public Port

Q. How to get a static IP address for the HTTP Server feature? (full version) A. Dynamic DNS is a system for allowing an Internet domain name to be assigned to a varying IP address. This makes it possible for other sites on the Internet to establish connections to the machine without needing to track the IP address themselves. A common use is for running server software on a computer that has a dynamic IP address (e.g., a dialup connection where a new address is assigned at each connection, or a DSL service where the address is changed by the ISP occasionally). Dynamic DNS providers: * * * * * http://www.ChangeIP.com http://www.dynip.com http://www.dyndns.org http://www.no-ip.com http://www.thatip.com

Q. How can I see how many http viewers I have? (full version) A. Take a look at the HTTP Server > Connections > IP and HTTP Server > Connections > Qty. The file \Program Files\Willing Webcam\ww.log contains the names of sites logged in/out your http server, though these records are mixed with some program diagnostic records.

Q. How to reduce the video preview rate to less than 1 per second? About 30 secs would be useful to me to reduce my network load a bit. A. Just minimize or roll up the program. The Preview window will be refreshed only prior to some operation (saving to the hard disk, ftp upload, an http query, etc.) in this case. If you want to arrange broadcasting via http, you can write some javascript refreshing code (please, see the 'Web Pages\HTTP Server\Mobile' template) or you can use this simple example (the HTTP Server feature must be enabled): <html> <head> <title>Willing Webcam</title> <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="30" /> </head> <body> <img src="http://IP:Port/ww.jpg" /> </body> </html>

Q. How to increase distance between your computer and webcam? A. Using an IP network camera (in a local network or wireless) is a good solution, but it is not cheap and the software does not support all of these types of cameras. For more information, see howto.htm#27. USB connection: For more information, see howto.htm#32. The maximum length for a USB 2.0 cable is 15 feet. It's possible to increase the length by USB Hub cascading. There are also USB cables on the market that have

active repeaters built into them. These extenders for USB claim to allow 150 feet over standard network cables. This solution can be expensive. A technician can make a cable with length 30 feet. This cable is inexpensive, but unstable. Analog cables do not have this limitation. S-Video (Composite) connection: howto.htm#8 howto.htm#26 howto.htm#9

Do not remove the memory card or battery, disconnect the communication cable, or otherwise interfere with communication. Such actions may cause a malfunction on some computers. Wait until the driver has shut down before doing such actions.

Q. How can I use a network camera? A.1. Set Video Device > Video Source > Webcam or frame grabber to Network Camera. 2. Specify the IP address of your network camera. Use the following format if the cameras port is not 80: http://ip:port 3. Select your network camera from the Network Camera > Model drop-down list. 4. Specify the Authentication options. 5. If you dont see a webcam image in the preview window, enter under the manufacturers settings of your ip camera and change MPEG-4 video format to JPEG or MJPEG. If the settings dont provide such an option, it means that the video format depends on the list items of Network Camera > Model. Try all the items for your model and wait a few seconds each time for a result. The 'Web Page and 'Program Window video sources are useful for those network cameras that are not directly supported by the program.

Q. How to save the stream from my IP camera to the hard drive as an avi file? A. Network cameras can't inherently save an avi stream in JPEG or MJPEG mode, it is possible to save avi in the time-lapse manner only. Here is a workaround: - Run two WW instances from different directories (to keep their settings files). Instance 1: - Select the network camera as a video source: How can I use an network camera? - Use an intermediate driver. How to work with the Video Device > Video Output feature? Instance 2: - Select the Willing Webcam Capture video driver as a video source. - Use the 'Movie Save feature. You should select the 'Enable' checkbox and clear the 'Cycle' one if you are going to use the feature instantly by clicking the 'Capture' button above the preview window.

Q. How to put an extra colored logo on the webcam picture without darkening or lightening the rest of the original webcam picture? A. Use a png picture with the alpha channel for the Watermark feature. http://www.willingsoftware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=126

Q. How to save changes in the settings? I changed the video compression settings the way I needed, but each time I close the file and then open it again, it is back to Cinepack. A. The program cannot save the name of the compressor with the VFW/WDM video source. You should use the DirectX driver set to store this parameter. Set 'Video Device > Video Source > Webcam or frame grabber' to DirectX Set 'Video Device > Video Source > Webcam or frame grabber > DirectX > Video Compressor' to <compressor name>

Q. How to run the program as a Windows service? A. The following options will help you: - 'Preferences > Start with Windows' - 'Preferences > Minimize on start' or - 'Preferences > Start with Windows' - 'Management Kit > Stealth Mode' (remember that default restore key is Shift+R) If you use the minimized or rollup mode, you will waste less processor power.

Q. How do I get my camera to broadcast outside the network? A. You need two or more network computers using Willing Webcam. One computer has a webcam and the HTTP server enabled (embedded in the program). It broadcasts video over the local network. Another computer with the Webcam Relay enabled receives the video. The relay computer may itself have the HTTP server enabled and broadcast the above mentioned video over the local network or the Internet. It does not matter how long your local network is or how many computers with webcams you have. You can use the Relay computer to switch between them. You may have other Relay computers as well. NB: Each licensed copy of the software may only be used on a single computer by a single user.

Q. How to get Willing webcam to work with two cameras? A. You can run two (or more) copies of Willing Webcam from different directories at a time. Each Willing Webcam copy will have its own file with settings. You need only one license for all WW copies if they run on one computer. Each camera must have a separate video cam driver. It is a Windows limitation. You will get an error if you try to connect two webcams with the same video driver. You should use the Video Device > Video Output feature in this case. Q. How to I get rid of the "Willing Software" text that appears on the webcam? A. Edit the 'Option Table > Text Caption > Text' field. Q. How to save jpg images bigger than 320x240? A. Use the 'Video Size' hot button above the Preview window or the 'Option Table > Video Device > Video Window Size' list. If you work with a capture card, use the 'Options > Video Format' hot button above the Preview window.

Q. How do I capture a picture from the full-screen mode without exiting it and clicking the Picture button? A. You can only set capture Cycles (picture, ftp, email, etc) before switching to the full-screen mode. Use the Live Desktop mode instead (you must have a 3D video card and DirectX installed).

Q. How to add Secure Webcam view? A. Take a look at 'Management Kit > Stealth Mode'.

Q. How do I transmit video to our website using Willing Webcam Lite? A. Only the full version works with the Internet.

Q. How to replace the default image when the web cam is offline with an ad or something...

A. You should create an image (bmp or jpg) with the dimensions you need and specify it in the 'Video Device > Video Source > Default screen' options.

Q. How do I turn OFF the Preview window? A. Minimize or roll up the program. The program will refresh the Preview window only prior to some operation (saving to the hard disk, ftp upload, an http query, etc.) in this case.

Q. How to tune up Google Gmail? (full version) A. 1. Select the 'Preferences > Email Settings > Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) > Google Gmail' and/or 'Preferences > Email Settings > Incoming Mail Server (POP) > Google Gmail' checkboxes. Select the 'Login' checkbox for SMTP. Enter your Gmail username (including '@gmail.com') and password for both controls. 2. Otherwise use the address http://IP:Port/ww.jpg and refresh the picture manually. Enter the IP Address and Port of the computer running the Willing Webcam software with an HTTP server enabled. Q. How to build a good protection against upload attacks? (full version) A. At the least you have to upload the wwsubmit.php script to a separate folder or rename it, but it would be better to use authentication defense: 1. Replace the "/cam/pswd" string in the wwcrypt.php script file from the '\Program Files\Willing Webcam\Web Pages\HTTP Upload\PHP' directory by yours, where cam is remote folder and pswd is password file name. 2. Upload the wwcrypt.php script file from the '\Program Files\Willing Webcam\Web Pages\HTTP Upload\PHP' directory to the remote folder where wwsubmit.php is located. 3. Open http://www.yourserver/folder/wwcrypt.php in the browser. 4. Fill the Login and Password fields with preferable unique values and click the Submit Query button. This operation will create a password file with encrypted password. 5. Copy the output string to the Clipboard. 6. Replace the "/home/com/willingsoftware/html/cam/pswd" string in the .htaccess file from the '\Program Files\Willing Webcam\Web Pages\HTTP Upload\PHP' directory by yours from the Clipboard (Paste operation). 7. Upload the .htaccess file to the same remote folder. This operation will protect this web directory with an authentication dialog. 8. Remove the wwcrypt.php script file from the remote folder. 9. Test your work by opening http://www.yourserver/folder/wwsubmit.php in the browser. You should see a blank window after the authentication. 10. Select the 'HTTP Upload > Login' checkbox and fill the 'Login > Name' and 'Login > Password' fields with values you had entered in the wwcrypt.php script. Tip: you can protect an uploaded image file too if you repeat these operations for your webcam directory. Your visitors will have to know a login and password to view your webcam picture. Don't do it if youre planning to make your webcam image public. HTTP Upload doesn't work for me. What should I do? Q. How to upload time-lapse video recorded according to schedule to our website? Besides, the webpage must play this time-lapse video. A. You should enable both saving the time-lapse video and uploading it to the FTP server in the following way:

1. Select the 'Time Lapse > Enable' checkbox. 2 .Set the 'Time Lapse > File Name' to ... 3. Select the 'FTP Upload > Synchronization' checkbox. 4. Set the 'FTP Upload > Synchronization > Local Folder' to Picture. 5. Set the 'FTP Upload > Synchronization > Local Folder > Picture Folder' to [path of the 'Time Lapse > File Name' file] 6. Clear the 'FTP Upload > Synchronization -> Delete files' checkbox. 7. Set the 'FTP Upload > Schedule' to ... 8. Set the 'FTP Upload > Advanced > Timeout' to a value that, if multiplied by 5, will be larger than the time necessary to upload the largest file in the ['Time Lapse > File Name' file] directory. Html code (you can view time-lapse video made with Indeo(R) video 5.10 codec only locally): <embed src="lapse.avi" width="320" height="240" controls="smallconsole" autostart="false" loop="true" play_loop="2" hidden="false"></embed> Please pay attention to an example of using a video file in the directory 'Program Files\Willing Webcam\Web Pages\Time Lapse\AVI'. Q. How to work with the Video Device > Video Output feature? A. It sends the video stream from the program to the Willing Webcam Capture video driver. You should select this driver in Skype, Ustream.tv, an instant messenger (for example, MSN, Yahoo) or in other instances of Willing Webcam. Thus, any video source available for the program (Webcam WDM and DirectX, network camera, Webcam Relay, desktop, hard disk directory) is also available for other video software. Add text, date and time stamps, watermarks, and various video effects to the output video stream. It is possible to output only part of the video image using the crop options. It would be a good idea to adjust the image size in the program so that it corresponds to the image size in the target software. The Video Output button above the preview window allows you to enable the feature with a single mouse click. The driver can also split a video stream, so its possible to use your webcam source in several applications at the same time, but it doesnt work on 64-bit Windows. If you increase the resolution and crop the output image as a portrait, using the Video Device > Video Output > Crop option (when its expanded, you can use the mouse in the preview window), you get the effect of optical zoom and a portrait video output including only your face.

Q. How to improve the motion detection? A. 1. Temporarily select the Show motion checkbox and erase digital noise using the Noise Level control. 2. The Video Device > Video Source > Video Preview Rate must not be too low (10-15 is good). 3. The calculation amount is equal to Video Preview Rate/Show motion > Frame Rate, which means if the Frame Rate is 2 then there will be 5-7 calculations per second. 4. Use the Motion Detection > Crop feature to decrease false detections. Expand the Crop option and select a crop area by dragging the mouse in the preview window.

Hardware Q. What kind of a digital still camera will work with your software? A. This is possible using an AV > USB adapter. The USB output in cams cannot be used for this purpose. The problem is that the adapters restrict video resolution, though in most cases the resolution is enough. There is another solution: an AV > S-video (composite) adapter plus a video-in card or TV tuner. Q. What kind of IP Network Camera will work with your software? A. The program works with IP cameras that have the jpeg output. If you have such a cam, you should find the jpeg file name the html code for viewing the cam (you can get it while viewing the picture from the cam in your browser), for example: image.jpg Q. Why does the program freeze after a while? A. Willing Webcam may freeze when it is connected to a driver that does not work or when the connected camera stops working (a camcorder or a still digital cam). Camcorders stop working in a few minutes if there is a cassette inside them. Video Driver Q. I downloaded Willing Webcam to test it. I cant get it to see my camera. Is there a driver that I can download to make it work? A. The program collects all WDM and VFW driver headers on your system and works only with them. Drivers are provided by webcam manufacturers. Q. How to avoid the auto search of the appropriate video driver when the program is started (the program crashes at startup): A. You should use the -driver parameter of the program, for example: "c:\program files\willing webcam\wwcam.exe" -driver Q. Every other webcam software I have used allows access to the video capture card controls via the "Video Source" window to allow control of brightness, contrast, saturation, etc. I see you have image

controls built in but I am wondering if there is a way to access my capture card controls directly in Willing Webcam. A. Look at the 'Video Options' button above the Preview window and click the arrow to view the items. Q. The video from my Quickcam Express appearing in the Willing program was jumping in contrast, from high to low contrast and back. I could not fix this within the Willing program. I loaded a graphics viewer and accessed the camera via the Twain interface. This gave me an enhanced set of video controls, so I turned off flicker control and this fixed the problem in the Willing application. My question is which set of controls has precedence over my camera and what is their relation to one another? A. In the Willing Webcam program you also have access to video driver controls. Please, select the 'Video Source' item of the 'Video Options' menu (above the video preview window). The video driver controls are under Willing Webcam Video Effects. Q. Every time I restart my PC, I have to open the 'Video Device > Video Source > Webcam > Video for Windows > Analog Video > Input' drop-down list and select Composite. A. Install DirectX software, version 8.1 or higher. Though you use the VFW driver set in the program, it is possible to save this option only via DirectX. Q. What exactly is the difference between 'Video for Windows' and DirectX in the 'Webcam or frame grabber' option? Which one should I choose and why? A. Video for Windows is old Windows system software. DirectX is new software. It works as a layer over VFW (Video for Windows) adding new features in order to support new video and audio devices. If you work with VFW, keep doing it because VFW doesn't require a lot of processor power. Otherwise try DirectX (you have to install version 8.1 or higher). Though some program modes use DirectX in any case: - the 'Analog Video > Input' setting - the 'Webcam Relay > Audio' feature - the 'HTTP Server > Audio' feature - the 'Screen Modes > Live Desktop' feature Q. I cant find the pan, tilt, zoom options for my Logitech QuickCam Sphere camera in the DirectX options. A. You should at least once use a ptz operation for your Logitech Orbit or Sphere cam under the Video for Windows driver set to open these options under DirectX. Q. The motion detection feature doesn't work for my Logitech QuickCam Sphere camera. It freezes. A. Logitech QuickCam Sphere and Orbit cameras have the automatic gain control option. Disable it and set the Exposure and Gain options to appropriate values. See the 'Options > Video Source (the button above the preview window) > Advanced > Automatic Gain Control' checkbox. This video driver option causes the video to fade in/out, which triggers motion detection all the time. Compatibility with Windows Vista If you have a few video feeds and work under the VFW mode you can avoid the 'Video Source > Select Video Device' dialog box. You can use one of the following ways: - Change the program mode to DirectX. - You should run the program with administrator rights: Control Panel > Computer > \Program Files\Willing Webcam\wwcam.exe > Properties > Compatibility > Privilege Level > Run this program as an administrator. - You can disable the User Account Control (UAC), but disabling UAC will lead to a less secure system: Control Panel > User Account and Family Safety > User Accounts > Change Security Settings > Disable UAC. If you have a Logitech Orbit (Sphere) camera and need its pan/tilt/zoom functions, the above mentioned ways will help you as well. Q. Why do I see only a black window in my webcam view? A. You should make your webcam driver active under the Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win 32) driver using the 'Options > Video Source' hot button above the preview window. Q. There's a blue screen when I use my webcam. A. If you see a solid blue or green screen in the VFW mode, you should change the current video format using the 'Options > Video Format' hot button above the preview window. Command line Q. Does the program support the command line? I have a program that needs to operate my webcam. A. The command parameter precedes a commands line enclosed by double quotes. For example,

<wwcam.exe -command "ftp on,capture"> for the full version, <wwlite.exe -command "picture on,capture"> for the lite version (remove the angle brackets). Use a comma to separate multiple commands on one line. Please see the Commands page below for the option table. Your program can also communicate with the Willing Webcam application via e-mail, sms and http commands. Please look at the Option table > Management Kit options. Bandwidth Q. I am now getting 1400 visitors per day. Soon reaching my ISP limit of 10 gigabytes per month

bandwidth. How do I decrease uploading size? UNREGISTERED VERSION OF CHM TO PDF CONVERTER STANDARD BY TH A. See 'Preferences > Picture Quality > Picture Format > Jpeg Quality'. If you decrease the 'Jpeg Quality' value you will decrease image file size. You have to find a compromise between quality and image size. For easy tuning run 'HTTP server > Run Browser'. You can see image quality in the browser while you are changing the control value, because the preview image will not change. A small change in image size or quality will provide big monthly savings.

Auto-Dial (full version) UNREGISTERED VERSION OF CHM TO PDF CONVERTER STANDARD BY TH Q. Is there a way to schedule WW to make a telephone call by modem, log on to my server (with username and password), and then send an image via ftp (with username and different password) to my website server? A. 1. Select the 'Preferences > Dial-up > Auto Dial-Up' checkbox 2. Select the 'Preferences > Dial-up > Non-default connection' checkbox Fill in the Name, Password, Phone fields; leave the Pulse unchecked if your phone line uses Tone dialing mode. Usually the Domain field is blank, but you have to ask an administrator of your server. 3. Select the 'Preferences > Dial-up > Disconnect After usage' checkbox 4. Select the 'FTP Upload > Enable' checkbox 5. 'FTP Upload > Cycle > Value' 24 6. 'FTP Upload > Cycle > Period' hours 7. Clear the 'FTP Upload > Schedule' checkbox Use the Connect button to force Dial-Up connection while you are tuning. Webcam Relay (full version) Q. Can you explain what webcam relay mode is, and how it will let me go from the USB standard length of 15' all the way out to 100'? A. You need a local net with two or more computers using Willing Webcam. One computer has a webcam and HTTP server enabled (embedded in the program). It broadcasts video over a local net. Another computer with Webcam Relay enabled gets the video. The relay computer may itself have HTTP server enabled and broadcast the above mentioned video over local net or Internet. It doesnt matter how long your local net is, or how many computers with webcams you have. On the Relay computer you can switch between them. You may have other Relay computers. NB: Each licensed copy of the software may only be used on a single computer by a single user. Hard disc directory source Q. Under Video Device -> Video Source -> Hard disc directory there is a box labeled "Delete files after usage". If I check this box, it erases, within a second or two, all the jpeg files in the directory, even though it has not uploaded the files to my server. A. Some video devices provide video files for a certain directory all the time. WW takes these files and views them. WW does all the operations at once when working with a video source. "Delete files after usage" - deletes a file after viewing, so we get real time work. If you prefer not to delete files and you want to view them in an endless cycle, select the Rewind checkbox. Time Caption Q. When I enable the time stamp, I get two time fields on my video and I cant adjust the position of the time. Any ideas? A. There are two time parts. Please look at 'Option table > Text Caption > Enable Time' and 'Option table > Time Caption > Enable Time' . The 'Option table > Text Caption' and 'Option table > Time Caption' both consist of two parts: a text part and a time part. The text part uses the 'Text' field, while the time part uses the 'Format' and 'GMT' fields. Both use the 'Placement' and 'Font' controls. You can change vertical and horizontal positions by the 'Placement > Vertical' and 'Placement > Horizontal' controls. 0,0 point is the top left corner. Q. Where can I find a quick description with samples of the time formats used? A.

c Displays the date, followed by the time. The time is not displayed if the date-time value indicates midnight precisely. d Displays the day as a number without a leading zero (1-31). dd Displays the day as a number with a leading zero (01-31). ddd Displays the day as an abbreviation (Sun-Sat). dddd Displays the day as a full name (Sunday-Saturday). ddddd Displays the date. dddddd Displays the date. e Displays the year in the current period/era as a number without a leading zero (Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese locales only). ee Displays the year in the current period/era as a number with a leading zero (Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese locales only). g Displays the period/era as an abbreviation (Japanese and Taiwanese locales only). gg Displays the period/era as a full name. The a/p specifier can use lower, upper, or mixed case, and the result is displayed accordingly. / Displays the date separator character. : Displays the time separator character. 'xx'/"xx" Characters enclosed in single or double quotes are displayed as-is, and do not affect formatting. FTP Upload (full version) Q. How do I use the ftp upload feature? A. Fill the Server, Name, Password fields with values given to you by your ISP. When you select the Enable checkbox or click the Ftp button it will initiate ftp upload to your web site. There you should have your webpage with the webcam image link. Select the FTP Upload > Passive mode checkbox if your client is behind a firewall. Active FTP may cause problems. From the firewalls point of view, the FTP server that is trying to initiate a connection with your client looks like an intruder and is usually blocked. Select the FTP Upload > Passive mode checkbox if you have a DSL connection. Please take a look at the 'Program Files\Willing Webcam\Web Pages\FTP Upload\index.html' webpage template. You are free to change the template to meet your needs if you want to. Its java script is used to refresh the webcam image only without affecting other webpage elements. Q. The program uploads images via FTP alright most of the time, but sometimes it looses uploaded images. A. The problem depends mainly on the FTP server and the Internet connection quality. It's normal that an FTP connection hangs sometimes, but the program must reestablish it after that. Actually uploading via FTP consists of four main stages: establishing an FTP connection, changing the FTP folder, actually uploading files via FTP and breaking the FTP connection (it may also include renaming files). If establishing an FTP connection takes more than the 'FTP Upload > Advanced > Timeout' value, the FTP cycle will be interrupted by the program. If uploading via FTP takes more than 5*Timeout value, the FTP

cycle will be interrupted as well. So if the Timeout is 20 and uploading via FTP hangs on the uploading stage, the new cycle will start in 100 seconds. The cycle will start in 20 seconds for other stages. Q. Can the program upload webpage files in addition to video ones without me buying other ftp software? A. You can upload your webcam page files using webpage templates from subdirectories in Program Files\Willing Webcam\Web Pages. See the FTP Upload > Synchronization > Local Folder options. You are free to change the templates to meet your needs if you want to. The template with the java script is designed for the FTP Upload and HTTP Upload features, the template with the java applet is designed for the HTTP Server feature. The java script is used to refresh the webcam image only without affecting other webpage elements. Q. When I upload video through FTP, the file is shown as a ww.tmp file, not a ww.jpg file in the program. A. The security settings of your upload folder (on your Web Server / Hosting server) must have 'Modify' allowed for that folder otherwise a TMP file cannot rename itself. You may have to contact your ISP to change this setting.

Q. In the ftp section, what is the "upload number" which is set to 5? What is UNREGISTERED VERSION"UploadCHM TOfile sequence qty. it for? A. You may upload a file sequence. OF number" is a PDF CONVERTER STANDARD BY TH File numbers change after each upload so the last uploaded file has a number 0001. Q. I want to upload a photo instantaneously and I need to click FTP button, then the Capture button and finally uncheck the FTP button. How can I do it in one operation? A. Clear the FTP Upload > Cycle checkbox and you can upload a photo with the Capture button. FTP Upload cycle will be inactive. HTTP Server ::'live streaming' (full version) Q. How do I set up streaming video with this program? A. Willing Webcam uses a java applet to establish 'live streaming'. How to ... Q. I tested your solution and I could not get a live webcam broadcast (it was a slideshow) despite the fact that both computers were interconnected using LAN (on the same subnet) and none of them was over the limit regarding processing power. The frame rate of the preview window was set to 10 frames per second.Do you have any idea how to get a fluent stream instead of a slide show?? A. Fluency depends on: 1. 2. 3. 4. Video Device / Video Preview Rate Video Device / Video Window Size Preferences / Picture Quality / Picture Format (JPEG) / Jpeg Quality Network card capacity

For the best stream results you have to increase p1, p4 and decrease p2, p3 values. Q. I have tried your program. And it works great.. But when I try to send the url to my friends they only see pictures of me. Not Live video. When I try it on my computer with the same url it works great. I have tried different browsers and java programs but nothing works.I have unchecked the last saved box also and enabled live video on http settings. Do you know what could be wrong? A. Do your friends' computers have Sun Java VM v.1.4.1 installed? It seems that Sun Java VM version 1.4.1_01 does not work properly. On the remote computer your friend must uncheck the 'Use Java 2 v1.4.1_01 for <applet>' option in MS Explorer. After unchecking Java v1.4.1 they have to refresh the IE browser. Then the browser will use Java v.1.3.1 or they can update v1.4.1 to 1.4.2 at www.java.com The situation is the same in 2000 and XP. Q. How do I configure the http server to work behind a router? A. Connect to the router through web browser. Set the broadcasting IP address and Port, select TCP-IP protocol. How to ... Q. I selected the Audio checkbox, but I do not hear anything from my broadcasting page. A. If you hear nothing from your broadcasting page, check the Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Java (Sun) > Use JRE v1.x.x_xx for <applet>' option in MS Explorer. If there is no such option or if the JRE version is lower than 1.3, you should install the latest Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE) on the client computer where the broadcasting page will be opened: http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_xpi.jsp If this option exists and the version is 1.3 or higher, but it is not selected, select it. See also the Option Table > HTTP Server > Audio and the Option Table > Preferences > Audio Source options.

Q. When I run the http server, I can connect to it via LAN. If I try to connect from the Internet it doesn't work. A. If you have a router, you should connect to the http server from another computer, which is not in your network. HTTP Upload ::'submit' (full version) Q. HTTP Upload doesn't work for me. What should I do? A. You have to upload the wwsubmit.php script file from the '\Program Files\Willing Webcam\Web Pages\HTTP Upload\PHP' directory to your web site. Most web hosting services have a PHP engine. Fill the HTTP Upload > Script Address field with URL of this script. The behavior of http upload is affected by settings in php.ini at the web hoster side. Usually these settings are workable for you by default. The program saves some diagnostic info to the '\Program Files\Willing Webcam\ww.log' file if http upload fails. Compare the diagnostic data with the settings below. If the php version is earlier than 4.1.0 then edit the wwsubmit.php script file before uploading it again. If you need to change other settings you have to call the php.ini file from your web hoster, edit and place the edited php.ini in a root of your webspace. php version In PHP versions earlier than 4.1.0, $HTTP_POST_FILES should be used instead of $_FILES. file_uploads Whether or not to allow HTTP file uploads. Make sure it is on. upload_tmp_dir Temporary directory used for storing files when doing file upload. Must be writable by whatever user PHP is running as. If not specified PHP will use the system's default. upload_max_filesize Maximum size of an uploaded file. Must be larger than the size of your uploaded image file. max_input_time This sets the maximum time in seconds a script is allowed to receive input data and file uploads. Must be larger than the uploading time of your image file. How to build a good protection against upload attacks? Some firewall software, for example Norton Personal Firewall, can interfere with the work of the http upload progress bar indicator. Go to 'Norton Personal Firewall > Options > Firewall > Http port list' and remove port 80. Picture Q. When I try to specify the drive/directory under the picture option, the drive drop-down list shows only local computer drives without mapped network drives. A. You should work with a UNC path: \\servername\drive\dir, for example: \\john\d\webcam Movie Save (streaming video) Q. When I record an AVI file to the hard disk of my PC, the movie does not have the time and date stamps. A. If you use the VFW/WDM video set, you will need to select one of the video formats: RGB, YUV12(I420), UYVY, YUY2 (the 'Options > Video Format' button above the Preview window). Don't enable video compression. The DirectX driver set does not have these restrictions. Time-lapse saving Q. What video compression type does the program use to compress a time-lapse avi? A. MS Video 1 or Indeo(R) video 5.10. Q. What does the "compression" value under the time lapse mean. There is another compression option under the "Options" icon where I can select my compression codec and select a level of compression but this doesn't change the compression value in the time-lapse section. A. The compression option under the 'Options' icon works with streaming avis. The 'compression' value under time lapse works with time-lapse ones.

Q. I cannot view the video file created in the SWF format. A. Adobe Flash Player loads the entire video file in memory when you are viewing it. If the file is very large, you may run short of RAM. In this case, you should reduce the following value: 'Time Lapse > Max file size Mb'. Also, take this problem into account if you plan to send the file to someone else. Please pay attention to an example of using a video file in the directory 'Program Files\Willing Webcam\Web Pages\Time Lapse\SWF'. Motion Detection

Q.I can't find any VERSION OF CHM TO PDF CONVERTER STANDARD BY TH UNREGISTERED options for Motion detection (i.e. threshold, area, etc.). Where is the motion menu? A. 1. Expand the 'Motion Detection' option with the green 'motion' button or in the Option Table at the left side of the Webcam page. 2. If your Option Table is occasionally hidden restore it by clicking on the left vertical line with two triangles or drag the blue vertical line to the right.

Multiple Cameras UNREGISTERED VERSION OF CHM TO PDF CONVERTER STANDARD BY TH Q. Can you tell me how the software works with multiple cameras. I read that it does work with more then one cam but can't find anywhere how. Do I need to multiplex a USB port or can I use a multi input video card with two ore more cam's. A. If your webcams use different drivers, you can launch a few copies of Willing Webcam and select a different driver for each one. If your webcams use the same driver, Windows doesn't permit you to work with them at the same time. You should use the 'Video Device > Video Output' feature in this case. It sends the video stream from the program to the Willing Webcam Capture video driver. You can select this driver in other instances of Willing Webcam or in Skype, an instant messenger (for example, MSN, Yahoo). It would be a good idea to adjust the image size in the program so that it corresponds to the image size in the target software. Program View Q. Why some of the icons at the top are always just grey boxes? A. It means that these operations are not available at the moment or in the current program mode. Icon "Video Size" - try the 'Options -> Video Format' hot button. Icon "HTTP Server" - enable the HTTP Server in the Option Table or click the green triangle button under the Preview window. Icon "Last saved" - upload or save an image locally at least once. Gamer View Q. What has that got to do with gaming? What is "program view"? A. Program view is the specific view mode. Program may be always on top, translucent, or small (at your option) with only the video window showing. Willing Webcam users can play or do computer work and see the webcam at the same time. Management Kit (remote management - full version) Q. I can't even figure out what the Management Kit is for. A. Management Kit is a security and remote management tool. The security part consists of the login program and hiding of the program. Remote management include creating your own commands from small basic commands under the plus icon in the table. Get a brief hint in the status bar by keeping the cursor over subcommands when choosing a set of them. With the navigator under the command table you can add, delete, and navigate commands. If you uncheck the Enable command flag this command will become unavailable. You can create a message with your subject known only to you and a command bulk (command names) in the body. Each command should be separated by commas. They will be executed command by command. The 'Listen to e-mail, sms and http commands > Enable e-mail' option must be on to check your mailbox for the specified subject. The 'Listen to e-mail, sms and http commands > Enable SMS' option must be on to check new SMS messages for the specified password (the SMS password should be at the first position of the command list in the SMS message). The program doesn't touch other messages. Command messages will be deleted after execution. Enable the 'Management Kit > Listen to e-mail, sms and http commands > Enable HTTP' option to allow the program to accept commands via the enabled 'HTTP Server' feature. You can also enable the 'HTTP Server > Authentication' option to protect the program. In this case you should specify the Name and Password command parameters. 1. Enable the 'Management Kit > Listen to' feature. 2. Enable the 'Management Kit > Listen to > Enable HTTP' option.

3. Enable the 'HTTP Server > Enable' option. Please take a look at the 'Program Files\Willing Webcam\Web Pages\HTTP Server\Commands\index.html' web page. You can use this remote control panel both from the local hard disk and from any website. You can also use this page as a template for creating your own web page (for example, for sending the tilt, pan, zoom commands). You can set time for two command lines, using the Schedule feature. Each of them can be run every day or on a certain day and time. Q. I have set it to the Stealth mode and it seems I cannot make it reappear. A. Press Shift+R (the default key combination) if you did not change this setting earlier. Video helper section Q. What is the video helper section for? A. Video helper section serves two purposes: - Searching for video sources - Saving all program settings as a bookmark (the Save button) You can get nine buttons for bookmarks above the Preview window. Access extra bookmarks using the grid navigator. License Q. I have 3 laptops. If I will buy one license for Willing Webcam, can I install the software on 3 laptops? Or only on one? A. If you use your 3 laptops in turn, you can purchase only one license, because only one person will use the program at a time (as a book). If all copies of the program work at the same time (each on its computer), you must purchase 3 licenses for them. Help documentation Q. Where can I find program documentation? A. See Site map. Also you can see brief hints in the program status bar when the cursor stops over an interface element or an option.

Properties > VERSION OF CHM TO PDF CONVERTER STANDARD - You can disable the User Account Control (UAC), but disabling UAC will lead to a less secure system: Control Panel > User Account and Family Safety > User Accounts > Change Security Settings > Disable UAC. If you have a Logitech Orbit (Sphere) camera and need its pan/tilt/zoom functions, the above mentioned ways will help you as well. Video Source Select video source. Webcam or frame grabber The program collects all WDM and VFW driver headers on your system. Drivers are provided by webcam manufacturers. You can also use Windows native video driver: Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win32). Using DirectX feature you can also work with most of USB-based or FireWire (IEEE 1394) devices. Microsoft DirectX 8.1 or higher must be installed. If your multiple webcams use different drivers, you can launch a few copies Willing Webcam and select a different driver for each one. If your webcams use the same driver, Windows doesn't permit you to work with them at the same time. Difference between VFW and DirectX modes. Video for Windows (VFW) is old Windows system software that does not require a lot of processor power. DirectX is new software. It works as a layer over VFW and adds new features in order to support new video and audio devices. VFW and DirectX modes have different algorithms for the 'Movie Save' feature. So if a feature is not working correctly, for example, the 'Enable Text/Time Captions' feature (Note: This feature is not officially supported by Microsoft), try the other program mode. The program cannot save the name of the compressor with the VFW video source; see

the Options > Video Compression' button above the preview. You should use the DirectX driver set to store this parameter. Set 'Video Device > Video Source > Webcam or frame grabber' to DirectX Set 'Video Device > Video Source > Webcam or frame grabber > DirectX > Video Compressor' to If you are working in the VFW mode and you have a few connected video sources, some actions can change the current video driver mapped by 'Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win 32)' driver. This situation might occur if you disconnect the current device or another video program switches the current driver, which can be shared among programs. Willing Webcam software saves and restores the current driver name, but if you run the program from the same directory under different Windows operating systems, Willing Webcam won't be able to find the selected driver name itself in other Windows operating systems because the names are different. The solution is using different Willing Webcam directories to have different settings files . For information about how you can make your driver current again, see How can I use an USB webcam? (VFW mode). Note: DirectX mode does not have this problem. Video for Windows Select VFW or WDM driver for your video device. Analog Video Enable the format of the baseband analog video signal. The program supports the following Canon Power Shot digital cameras: A620, A640, S80, S3 IS, S5 IS, G7, G9, G10, SX100 IS, and SX110 IS. All cameras work with Willing Webcam on Windows XP. They also work with Willing Webcam on Vista in Windows XP compatibility mode and on Windows 7 (except the S80 model). See the Video Device > Video Source > Digital Camera options and the zoom & reset buttons above the preview. Most of the options become visible only after the camera is connected. The files for the new feature are not included in the Willing Webcam installation package. The program will ask you to download and install a separate installation file when you use the feature for the first time. You can install the file manually by going to DigitalCamera.exe. You will see live low-quality data from the viewfinder after connection. To see shots in their real resolution without running the program cycled features: Click the Copy button above the preview window or enable the Digital Camera > Cycle option. Actually, the Cycle timer is needed only for non-cycled features. Click the Last saved button above the preview window after the first shot initiated by these operations or by the cycled features. To connect the application to a camera, you need driver software that connects the camera to a computer (assuming that it is running Windows 98 SE/Me/2000 SP4). Driver software is not required on computers running Windows XP. It would be better to supply your camera with power by using a suitable AC adapter. Be aware that the shutter is rated for a restricted cycle amount, 100,000 cycles on average. You can use the cameras viewfinder to get shots without the shutter, but the viewfinders resolution is 320x240 for Power Shot cameras in this case. See the Digital Camera > Shots from the preview option. Please do not place your computer into standby mode while the Canon digital camera is connected to its USB port. Do not remove the memory card or battery, disconnect the communication cable, or otherwise interfere with communication.

Such actions may cause a malfunction on some computers. Wait until the driver has shut down before doing such actions. Battery Status Indicates the battery condition in the device. You should select the 'Willing Webcam Capture' driver in Skype, Ustream.tv, or in another instant messenger (for example, MSN or Yahoo). Cropping the desktop When you select the Desktop as a video source, you might experience difficulty with cropping the desktop. Here is a little information about how it works. The whole Desktop or part of it maps into the preview window, and then you can separately crop the preview in each program feature. You should collapse the Crop item after tuning, so the yellow rectangle is removed. The final resizing can be done in HTML code with width and height parameters. It is easiest if you enable the 'Whole screen' option. The ratios of the Desktop and the preview window must be close or equal to each other to avoid image distortion. What should you do if you want to crop a part of the Desktop? The upper left corner has the coordinates 0,0. Set the 'Desktop > Width' and 'Desktop > Height' according to your preference, and then increase the X and Y values. Set the width and height equal to the preview dimensions if you want to avoid image magnification. You must not exceed the Desktop borders by your cropping rectangle; otherwise, you will see parts of the default screen. Do not worry about the multiple mirrors effect in the preview window. Specify the Crop options in the program features, if you need to. You can drag the crop rectangle with your mouse over the preview window. Collapse the Crop items, and then minimize the program. The following parameters affect the area tuning: the desktop resolution, the preview size 'Video Device > Video Source > Video Window Size', their ratios and the 'Desktop' options. Whole screen Specifies whole screen as the source rectangle. X Specifies the x-coordinate of the upper-left corner of the source rectangle.

Y Specifies the y-coordinate of the upper-left corner of the source rectangle. Width Specifies the width of the source rectangle.

Many USB webcam users have seen the following Windows limitation that two or more webcam applications do not work with one USB driver at the same time. The next running applications display a black screen. How do you solve this problem? Video Output sends the video stream from the program to the Willing Webcam Capture video driver. You can select this driver in Skype, an instant messenger (for example, MSN, Yahoo) or in other instances of Willing Webcam at the same time, but it doesnt work on 64-bit Windows. If you increase the resolution and crop the output image as a portrait, using the Video Device > Video Output > Crop option (when its expanded, you can use the mouse in the preview window), you get the effect of optical zoom and a portrait video output including only your face. Zoom Out % Zoom out the preview image. Crop Crop an image, removing any outside the border. X Specifies the x-coordinate of the upper-left corner of the crop rectangle. When you check the Enable box or press the Ftp button it will initiate ftp upload to your web site. There you must have your webpage with the webcam image link. Please take a look at the 'Program Files\Willing Webcam\Web Pages\FTP Upload\index.html' webpage template. You are free to change the template to meet your needs if you want to. Its java script is used to refresh the webcam image only without affecting other webpage elements. Enable Enable FTP upload. Server FTP server name. Username FTP user name. Remote Folder It is a relative FTP folder, for example, /html, /html/subfolder, /subdomain/html/subfolder, where /html is the FTP root public folder. Your FTP server might have a different name for it. (Actually, when you log in to your FTP server using an FTP program, you see a few folders and only one of them is public. Internet visitors can view subfolders and files under this folder if they have access permissions.) Create your subfolder, for example webcam. Then if the public folder is /html, type the /html/webcam string in the 'Remote Folder' box. If the string is empty, the program will upload to the root area. Passive mode FTP is an unusual protocol in that it uses two ports, one for commands and the other for data. (This is one of the reasons it is superior to HTTP for transferring large files.) Active FTP was invented first. The client initiates a connection on the servers command port. The server then initiates a connection with the client from its data port. In Passive FTP, the client initiates both connections with the server, which remains passive. Active FTP may cause problems if your client is behind a firewall. From the firewalls point of view, the FTP server that is trying to initiate a connection with your client looks like an intruder and is usually blocked. This is why many users have difficulty using FTP to download files from behind a firewall. Passive FTP solves this problem, but creates other problems, notably where FTP server security is concerned. The server must listen on a large number of ports. This requires the firewall to let a lot of unqualified traffic through. Most firewall

UNREGISTERED VERSION OF CHM TO PDF CONVERTER STANDARD BY TH

administrators do not like this. As a rule, you do not need to be concerned about passive and active FTP unless you administer an FTP server or a firewall. If you experience difficulty using your FTP client from behind a firewall, this is likely the reason. Perhaps you should discuss the matter with your firewall administrator. FTP Proxy Specify proxy port and name. Proxy name Proxy name. Proxy port Proxy port. FTP over SSL Secure FTP with SSL protects your ID and password from prying eyes when your login information travels through the Internet. SSL mode Implicit version of protocol is known as SFTP (or FTPS). Generally use Explicit mode instead of Implicit one. Encrypt data channel Set up encrypted data transfer. Advanced Change default FTP port and timeout if needed. Port FTP port. Timeout Set the number of seconds before timeout will occur. It's normal that an FTP connection hangs sometimes, but the program must reestablish it after that. Actually uploading via FTP consists of four main stages: establishing an FTP connection, changing the FTP folder, actually uploading files via FTP and breaking the FTP connection (it may also include renaming files). If establishing an FTP connection takes more than the Timeout value, the FTP cycle will be interrupted by the program. If uploading via FTP takes more than 5*Timeout value, the FTP cycle will be interrupted as well. So if the Timeout is 20 and uploading via FTP hangs on the uploading stage, the new cycle will start in 100 seconds. The cycle will start in 20 seconds for other stages.

You cannot test your Internet address from your computer or from your local network if you have a router. You must test it externally. Audio There are three option groups that control audio streaming using a web browser: 1. 'HTTP Server > Audio' -> on 2. The Java applet description in the web page: <param name="sound" value="yes" /> 3. 'Preferences > Audio Source' options. If you hear nothing from your broadcasting page, check the 'Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Java (Sun) > Use JRE v1.x.x_xx for <applet>' option in Internet Explorer. If you still hear nothing, try to select the microphone as a default audio feed in the 'Windows Control Panel > Sounds and Multimedia' and set the 'Preferences > Audio Source > Device' to the Primary Audio driver. Check also that other software is not using the microphone. If you are using a Realtek audio card as an audio source, find in the Realtek settings where you will be able to join or disjoin mic and linein inputs. You should restart the program after modifying the settings. In addition, change the 'Preferences > Audio Source > Device' selection. If you are hearing gaps between playing buffers, just increase the 'HTTP Server Audio > Buffer' size. The program cannot totally avoid the clicks. Avoid back-coupling (sound from loudspeakers reaching your microphone) by using headphones for testing. The voice delay should be equal to the buffer value. Some additional delay when

starting sound broadcasting is expected, because the Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is initializing itself. The information above relates to audio streaming using a web browser. There are two option groups that control audio streaming using the Webcam Relay client: faq.htm#WebcamRelay 1. The 'HTTP Server > Audio' -> on (server side) 2. Dynamic DNS is a system for allowing an Internet domain name to be assigned to a varying IP address. This makes it possible for other sites on the Internet to establish connections to the machine without needing to track the IP address themselves. Movie Save
If the rate is 10 frames per second, you will get 324,000 (the frame limit) / 10 / 60 / 60 = 9 hours of duration for one avi file. You should use a compressor codec because there is a 4 GB file size limitation. The program cannot save the name of the compressor (the Options > Video Compression button above the preview window) in the VFW mode. You should use the DirectX mode and its compression setting 'Video Device > Video Source > Webcam or frame grabber > DirectX > Video Compressor'. Note that the compression list consists of installed video codecs from Microsoft and third parties. If you do not use the 'Max duration' option, you must stop the recording manually by clicking the Movie button under the preview window or disabling the 'Movie Save > Enable' check box. The program uses the 'Enable Text/Time captions' feature to add captions and a watermark to the video. If you use the VFW mode, you must select one of the following video formats: RGB, YUV12 (I420), UYVY, YUY2 (the 'Options > Video Format' button above the Preview window). Do not enable video compression. The DirectX mode does not have these restrictions. VFW and DirectX modes have different algorithms for the 'Movie Save' feature. So if a feature is not working correctly, for example, the 'Enable Text/Time Captions' feature (Note: This feature is not officially supported by Microsoft), try the other program mode. Time Lapse
Please pay attention to examples of using a video file in the directory 'Program Files\Willing Webcam\Web Pages\Time Lapse'. The program hides some time lapse options while it is working, because changing these options at this time can cause a target file corruption. If you change these options when the feature is disabled, the program may not continue a current time lapse file at the next start and instead create a new file. The program sometimes cannot exit from an error state during recording, so it restarts and creates a new file. It is possible that the program keeps restarting again and again. Remove the current time lapse file manually in this case. The program can start a new file each day, according to the 'Max file size Mb' option or after reaching the Windows size limit of 2GB. If you want, enable the 'Time Lapse' feature with a smaller timer period. The minimum period is 0.1 second. The Time Lapse feature differs from the 'Motion Detection > Actions > Time Lapse'. The last one has the 'Scene duration (sec)' option. How to upload a time lapse file using FTP Frequently asked questions: Time Lapse Here are some tips about codecs. MS Video 1. All Windows operating systems have the MS Video 1 codec by default. The codec is stable, but its compression is not very good. You can see an example of using an avi video file in the directory 'Program Files\Willing Webcam\Web Pages\Time Lapse\AVI'. The Internet Explorer is the only browser that supports controls for embedded avi files. Indeo(R) video 5.10. This is a very interesting codec with good compression. All Windows operating systems have it by default, but Vista and Windows 7 do not register it, so if you want to make it work, you must register the codec using the Windows command line: regsvr32 ir50_32.dll. By the way, the latest program installation does this registration itself. The codec is free, but the Media Player shows video with this codec only locally. Media Player does not show video via the Internet. The paid codec Indeo(R) video 5.20 does not have this limitation and the time lapse feature supports the codec too, if you select the 'Indeo(R) video 5.10' item.

SWF. You can see an example of using a video file in the directory 'Program Files\Willing Webcam\Web Pages\Time Lapse\SWF'. Adobe Flash Player loads the entire video file in memory when you are viewing it. If the file is very large, your computer may run low on memory. In this case, you should reduce the following value: 'Time Lapse > Max file size Mb'. Enable Enable time-lapse video.

Image Effects
There are a few interesting options for image effects. Sometimes you need to mount your webcam to a ceiling or a wall. The 'Horizontally Flipped', 'Vertically Flipped', and 'Rotation' options will help you. The 'Image Effect > Alpha Blend' feature is a simplified version of the Watermark feature. To enable this feature: 1. Image Effect -> on 2. Image Effect > Alpha Blend -> on 3. Image Effect > Alpha Blend > Amount -> 100 4. Image Effect > Alpha Blend > Bitmap -> image path (bmp, jpg) 5. Image Effect > Alpha Blend > Transparent -> on The image size must be equal to the preview size. The upper left corner pixel is taken as a transparent color. The Stacking feature is useful for recording scenes with bad lighting or for astronomy buffs. The 'Add / Divisor' blending mode allows you to get better lighting in your images. You can catch a comet or stars moving with the 'Select brightest pixel' mode. Image Effects A set of different effects that can be applied to the image. Enable Enable image effects. Embossed The image will take on a bas-relief look. Horizontally Flipped Flip image along its Y axis. Vertically Flipped Flip image along its X axis. Rotation This property controls the rotation of the image. Angle The amount of rotation (in degrees).

Center X Determine the X coordinate about which the rotation occurs. Center Y Determine the Y coordinate about which the rotation occurs.
