4G Techonology Abstract :

4G mobile technology is in a determining and standardization stage. Although 4G wireless technology offers higher data ratesand the ability to roam across multiple heterogeneous wireless networks, several issues require further research and development. Since 4G is still in the cloud ofthe sensible standards creation, ITU and IEEE form several task forces to work on the possible completion for the 4G mobile standards as well. 3GPP LTE is an evolution standard from UMTS, and WiMAX is another candidate from IEEE. These technologies have different characteristics and try to meet 4G characteristics to become a leading technology in the future market. Under these circumstances, this paper will present about the current trends and its underlying technologies to implement the 4G mobile technology. 4G is the advancement of the below comm. generations 0G refers to pre-cell phone mobile telephony. Being the predecessors of the first generation of cellular telephones 1G refers to the first generation of wireless telecommunication technology, more popularly known as cell phones. In 1G, Narrow band analogue wireless network is used; with this we can have the voice calls. 2G first appeared around late 1980s.2G system digitized the voice signal, as well as the control link. It provided the facility of short message service (SMS 3G - G systems promise faster communications services, entailing voice, and fax and Internet data transfer capabilities. The aim of 3G is to provide these services anytime, anywhere throughout the globe, with seamless roaming between standards

Desirable higher data capacity rates, the growth opportunity for 4G is very bright and hopeful.
