--TIMELINE OF THE UNIVERSE-NOTE: Primus, the Archons, and the Gods all use WILL, the warping of reality

through pure willpower. Ithen, Mythos, Magic, Saro, and Trian are all tools or shortcuts that are powered through Will and provide the ability to warp space-time with less effort and finesse. Ithen requires the most Will but is the strongest, then Mythos, then Magic, then Saro, and Trian requires the least Will but is the weakest. The mortal races all use the four Will tools rather than Will and the Gods tend to prefer the four Will tools as well, although they have the power to use Will. Will can alter reality in any way. Ithen allows for the creation, destruction, and manipulation of consciousness/sentience Mythos allows for the creation, destruction, and modification of matter. Magic allows for the creation of energy. Saro allows for the dissolution of energy. Trian allows for the creation, modification, and dissolution of electro-magnetic waves. THE BEGINNING: Primus emerges from nothing. An unknown amount of time later, he creates the Archons, in this order: Fe, Ki, Va, Lo, Zu (Fekivalozu). He begins to test, teach, and experiment with the Archons. Primus creates the gods. 0 FA (First Age): Primus creates the Mortal World (Terra, Earth, Morta), and then the Foundation Spires upon it. Then he creates plants and animals (nothing sentient). All of the spires stand on the Foundation Plateau, which is at the center of Panga (the central continent of the mortal world), except for Ithen. Ithen, the Phantom Spire exists ethereally on the fringe between the Cosmos and the World. Mythos, the Runic Spire stands tallest at the center of the Foundation Plateau. Magic, the Crystal Spire stands second tallest in the inner ring of the Foundation Plateau Saro, the Stone Spire stands third tallest in the middle ring of the Foundation Plateau Trian, the Bone Spire stands shortest in the outer ring of the Foundation Plateau 1348 FA: Primus announces that he is leaving. Before he goes, he charges the Archons, with the Gods as their assistants, to safeguard the world and the Foundation Spires, for they are his "Greatest Creation." 3875 FA: All of the Archons and Gods have been puzzled by the Primus' last words, for they see nothing special in the world or Foundation Spires. Now, Va begins to study the Foundation Spires very closely, and feels the first touch of hunger for power. Seeing the immense amount of power hidden in the Spires, Va begins attempting to drain them of power. Doing so ruptures the boundary between the Cosmos and the World (Ithen, the Phantom Spire), warping reality to create Ithen, the Will tool. Lo immediately feels the disturbance and confronts her. They fight, and Lo is slain while Va's comatose form drifts away and is lost in the cosmos. The Archons and Gods are shocked by this, as it is the first death of the universe. From the ethereal remains of Ithen emerge Ithiens (AKA Immortals, Angels, Demons, Deep Ones). They are powerful beings that take whatever shape they wish. Some swear allegiance to a God or Archon, and others take up residence wherever they please in the Universe. 4760 FA: Ki is disgusted by the action of Va and saddened by the death of Lo. Seeing Zu beginning to fall down the same path that Va did, Ki becomes too disgusted with the Archons and Gods, and leaves, saying that nothing about the cosmos or mortal world is worth saving. 4921 FA: Fe creates his own dark world in the corner of the cosmos and begins to dwell in it, waiting for the day that "life destroys itself." 6708 FA: Zu is now the final Archon who cares, and with no other Archons to stop him he believes he can do as he wishes. So, he lands on Panga and with Will seals it from the Cosmos so that no God can enter. The Gods immediately attempt to break his seal, but he begins to draw on the power of the Foundation Spires to aid him. This process severely weakens him, but keeps the Gods out. 8476 FA/1 EA (Elven Age)/DWI (First Divinity War): Alliances have been drawn amongst the Gods, and the Benevolent Gods and Malevolent Gods are clearly defined. These two alliances begin to fight one another, culminating in a fight between Nov and Bav to the death. When Nov was about to kill a unconscious Bav, Das arrived and

attacked her, rendering Nov unconscious as well. Pem leads the Benevolent Gods into the fray and Gex leads the Malevolent Gods into the fray. A full scale battle commences, one that 'shakes the universe,' ending when Gex strangles Pem to death. The sides withdraw, with the Benevolent Gods carrying Pem's corpse and Nov's comatose form, and the Malevolent Gods carrying Bav's battered body. With Pem's death, the physical representation of herself that she crafted in the mortal world (the moon) shatters, and while some fragments stay afloat, others violently slam into the skin of the world. One such fragment collides with Magic, shattering it. The massive amount of Will contained in it is freed, and alters reality with the introduction of magic, the Will tool. From the rubble of the Magic Spire emerge the first Elves, who begin to build a civilization underneath Zu. Some of the Elves find that they can use magic, and the first Mages are born. 568 EA: The Elves, sealed from the cosmos, have no idea of the existence of the Gods. They only know Zu. By this time, they have a pretty sound civilization established, ruled by a Triumvirate of elected elders, who receive orders from Zu, whenever he feels like ordering something. Mostly, Zu just soars overhead in the form of a dragon, watching the Elves grow. The population of Elves has grown from its initial 1,438 to over 500,000, and they have three strong cities established, Astradell, Foraleign, and Dalmadha, one of the Triumvirate from each city. 764 EA: Zu has grown bored of merely watching the Elves, and is frustrated by how he cannot understand the purpose of the Foundation Spires and why Primus created them. So, he takes his anger out on the Elves, and begins killing them for sport. At first never too many, but he gets carried away and during this year destroys Foraleign and the hundreds of thousands of lives residing there. The Gods, unable to prevent it, are outraged by the loss of life, and begin to hone their concentrations on breaking through the World Seal once more. 794 EA: Rae realizes that the Gods will not be able to break through the World Seal that Zu implemented while Zu continuously reinforces it with energy from the Foundation Spires. So, he chooses a old Elven Mage (214 years old) named Lunarius. Rae sacrificed himself to empower Lunarius with great power, and the drive to kill Zu, and Lunarius in turn died performing the deed. Finally, after 2490 years of Zu keeping the Cosmos and World separate, they are reunited, and the Gods begin to appear before the Elves, informing them of the truth behind what Zu is and what they are. From Zu's corpse emerge the first five Dragons. At first the Gods wish to hunt and slay them, but it becomes apparent that they know nothing of the sins of their 'father.' 799 EA: The Lunarian society forms in honor of Lunarius. It's members, the Lunarchs, all swear allegiance to it above any other government or organization, with the initial goal of maintaining peace between the destabilized fragments of the Zulean empire. The first dragon children are born. 812 EA: With the death of Zu and the appearance of many new, strange, and powerful Gods, the two remaining Triumvirate members vote to disband the Zulean empire, making Astradell and Dalmadha two separate civilizations. Astradell elects a council with a chairman, and Dalmadha chooses instead to elect it's Triumvirate member as it's Monarch. 1354 EA: Va awakens suddenly. Her broken and battered body had drifted to the corner of the cosmos, hidden from the Gods. Only Fe was aware of her continued existence, but he cares about nothing. Her fragmented mind reaches out, and even in her broken state she causes a massive warping of reality around Dalmadha, the largest source of drainable energy that she can sense. Most Elves die, but some are lucky (or unlucky) enough to live through the process--and the first humans are born. Qun is the only god that senses the disturbance, but Va hides her presence even from him. 1414 EA: Humans have much shorter life spans than elves, but they also reproduce much faster--and by now the initial 50,000 has grown to more than 125,000. They have entirely taken over Dalmadha, resuming the Monarchical Government and way of life. They are weaker than Pure Elves and treated like mutants by them, so there is little friendship between the two species. 1479 EA/1 HE (Human Era): The Humans now significantly outnumber the Elves and have established numerous townships and two other major cities: Menethos and Therius. Dalmadha, Menethos, and Therius are all ruled by one Emperor, with each city having its own senate. The Emperor declares the beginning of the Human Age. 1734 EA/256 HE: The Elves, who once looked down on the Humans, are now looked down upon by them. The Humans finally attack at this point, believing the Elves to weak and few to survive their attack. The Elves surprise the Humans with their strength, leading the Humans to realize how far they have weakened.

1739 EA/261 HE/1 SA (Sanguine Age): The Humans have the upper hand, but the Elves still manage to draw the war between the two species out. In their desperation of end the war, the Humans very foolishly attempt to draw power from Saro. Their sorcerers are briefly empowered before their unskillful attempts shatter Saro completely. The power that the Humans had been draining is abruptly released in the shockwave which devastates the Human forcers. Saro (the Will tool) is released into the universe, and Dwarves emerge from the rubble of the broken spire. 1 SA: Elves and Humans are both surprised by the arrival of the Dwarves. That, coupled with the devastation of the Human forces, quickly ends the war. A peace treaty is drawn up (mostly by the Elves), and the Dwarves are introduced to the world. 3 SA: The Dwarves begin constructing Othel, their capital city, which lies inside a mountain. 17 SA: Othel is largely completed, although the Dwarves continue to renovate and expand it. The Humans have fully recovered from their destruction from the shattering of Saro, but their numbers remain severely reduced. Peace reigns, and massive advancement in the technological and mystic arts begins. 39 SA: The Darrow Academy is constructed. It will be the forefront of scientific and mystical teaching and research for its entire existence, and produce most of the worlds best sorcerers. The Academy is founded by Darrow, an incredibly powerful wizard. He modernizes classification and practice of Will. 78 SA: Va, still hidden from all and severely weakened, uses Ithen to influence Wyo to cause chaos. Wyo in turn warps a small town of Dwarves into Obsidian Dwarves, and manifests among them as their deity. 104 SA/1 DWII (Second Divinity War): The Obsidian Dwarves have grown significantly in number, and Wyo leads them against Othel. Most Dwarves are massacred, and only a few escape. Wyo then leads them upon Astradell. The Benevolent Gods attention are caught by the massive loss of life, and enraged, they strike at Wyo. The Malevolent Gods leap to his aid, and the second divinity war begins. 107 SA/3 DWII: Astradell has been besieged for three years now, and Raz begins to grow disillusioned with the idea of destroying so much life. He speaks with Fe, and no one knows what Fe spoke of, but when Raz emerges from Fes lair, he enters deep meditation. 108 SA/4 DWII: Raz awakens from his meditation and casts an incredibly potent spell, drawing strength from Trian. Trian is completely consumed in the process, releasing Trian (the will tool) into the world. Rather than a new species emerging into the world, Razs spell creates a new species, mutating and empowering ten humans that he targets into the first Vampires (known as the Razan, they have no weaknesses that Vampires have). The Razans sole purpose in existence is to hunt the Obsidian Dwarves to extinction. Even though there are only ten of them, they brim with so much strength that they quickly turn the tide of the war, driving the Obsidian Dwarves underground. Only one of the Razan dies in the process. 109 SA/5 DWII: All of the gods, benevolent and malevolent, are enraged that Raz destroyed the second to last Foundation Spire, which they view as holy symbols Primus left behind. Raz goes into hiding with his mate, Sia, but she betrays him and squeezes the life out of him. The gods turn upon the Razan and attempt to kill them, but can only execute two before the rest go into hiding. The Razan find that Dwarven immune systems emit a toxin that sickens them and Elves and their blood taste terrible, but Human blood is intoxicatingly delicious. Humans that survive being drained by the Razan become Vampires. 112 SA: The Razan are the most intensely powerful beings in the world, and the seven remaining form into two separate alliances. One is for the hunt and slaughter of lesser beings, led by Bizirenth, and the other for peaceful guidance of the lesser races, led by Cithaerel. Most Vampires side with the malicious group and a war of subtlety and deceit begins amongst the Razan that will last centuries. The few remaining Dwarves begin to rebuild Othel as their home once more. 154 SA: The Lunarian society (no the oldest government in the world by far), which has largely faded into the background, grows more prominent when they pledge to hunt all Vampires, and many members begin training for just this task. 235 SA: Many of the strongest Lunarchs succeed in slaying Tziraen, one of Cithaerels allies, not knowing that he was a Razan that likes non-Vampires. Cithaerels other ally, realizing that four against two are not good odds, promptly betrays Cithaerel and joins Bizirenth. Cithaerel quickly retreats to a hidden lair, where he begins to live in solitude. The five Razan effectively control the World through their networks of spies, assassins, and warriors. 953 SA: Cithaerel emerges from his lair disguised as a Elf. Over the next six months, he tracks down and slaughters the four Razan that follow Bizirenth, ending the stranglehold that the Vampires have on the world. Cithaerel and Bizirenth battle, and when Cithaerel gains the upper hand Va intercedes and teleports

Bizirenth to her hiding place at the edge of the cosmos, where she begins to bend his mind to serve her. Cithaerel returns to seclusion. 1000 SA/1 CA (Celestial Age): The Vampires have maintained a hold on the World for this long without the Razan, but at this point the Lunarchs successfully overthrow them, driving Vampires to the fringe of civilization. The gods are closely watching the world but not interfering for fear of sparking another Divinity War, and the mortal races begin to flourish. 645 CA/1 PFS (Post Foundation Spires): Va sends Bizirenth to the world to destroy Mythos (for unknown reasons, and only Fe knowing she is behind it). He begins the process, which sends massive shockwaves throughout the world. Qun, Yun, and Das act in sync and blast Bizirenth immediately, but the destabilized spire collapses nonetheless. The gods destruction of Bizirenth scorches the nearby land, killing most life, including Loros Sladesight, one of the human descendants of Cithaerel. Mythos is released into the world, and the Mythians emerge from the rubble. The last Foundation Spire has fallen. 2 PFS: Rather than settling down and building a city of their own, the thousand or so Mythians disperse and each wander about the world on their own. Vera Sladesight, niece to Loros and driven to insanity by his death, is targeted by Va as the evil Archons next head servant. Va begins to completely consume Veras mind. 5 PFS: Vera has killed both of her parents and two of her siblings, leaving her younger brother Thom to leave home to wander the world and her older sister Ana to break down into despair and insanity. Vera fakes her own death and secretively begins to build a power base in nearby towns. Ana changes her last name to Sorrowsight and moves away. 7 PFS: Vera establishes The Foundation, a secretive society with the goal of attaining enough mystic energy for Va to cast a spell that will allow her to consume the world, strengthening her to levels beyond all but Primus. To attain enough power, The Foundation needs massive amounts of spire fragments and the living representatives of the spires: Elves, Dwarves, Vampires, Mythians, and Immortals, as well as the life energy of a God to bind the spell together. 14 PFS: Thom stops wandering and founds the first monastic order halfway up a mountain, The Path of the Sun and Moon. Thom develops a meditation trance that, in its perfected form, enables the casting of spells from any Will school simultaneously. He designs the trance after examining the eyes of a Godsight. 27 PFS: Several of Thoms students, with Thoms blessing, break away and set up daughter monasteries. The Path of Shattered Strides is first, followed by The Way of Brightened Dawn, and then The River of Stone Monastery. These splinter orders all have different specialties of martial arts and arcane. 30 PFS: By now The Foundation has a presence in every government in the world, very important roles in some of them. They begin the long process of finding physical shards of each of the spires. Vera begins to fight the control Va has on her. 33 PFS: Vera quits The Foundation and retires to a personal tower she has built. Va merely begins to control a weaker mind by the name of Bat and ensures that he receives control of The Foundation. 67 PFS: Thom enters the mausoleum built by monks of the sun and moon, closes the door to his meditation chamber, and begins deep meditation. It is assumed that he dies inside. 123 PFS: An elf by the name of Aurus is afflicted with disease, lowering the strength of her immune system.
